Enzo Le Fee expected to miss six weeks and Dan Ballard eight weeks due to injury. To compound things, the lad on loan from Liverpool, Jayden Danns is not expected to return before the season ends.
That is some bad luck.

We've had more than our fair share of serious long term injuries this season

Exactly what I was about to say.
Had we had this team all season I think we'd have run away with it by now.

Seriously bad luck for them. 2 excellent attacking players who are difference makers along with a very good CB.
We've had more than our fair share, too. We still have a strong squad which might see us through. Fingers crossed.

A Sunderland fan told me much earlier in the season that their starting XI was great, but after Xmas, when injuries etc started creeping in, they just wouldn't have the squad to compete at the very top
Le Fee is a big loss. He is probably to them what Edwards is to us. You need that magic in the last 8-10 games to get something out of nothing in tight end of season games. A la Benson

It is this time of the year when those with the strongest overall squad, win through.
