Sheff Utd v Leeds match thread

Ok with fully clarets tinted glasses on what do we want? Draw for me.

Lineup for the blades is interesting and the formation even more so due to injuries. Could become massive for us. Either way looking forward to this one.

Lots of red cards, illegible players leading to points deductions, and some relatively minor injuries to key players that would see them out for 10 weeks.

Has to be a draw or Sheff Utd loss.

Draw for me.

5 points is nothing we could turn that around in a 4 or 5 days.

We can catch both/either.

A draw suits us, but personally couldn't care less.
We should be looking to ourselves not relying on others.

Said on the other thread, draw for me.

Not directly related to tonight’s game but I am wondering whether Sheff Utd will appeal their point deduction if they miss out to us or Leeds on auto promotion by 1 point and end up losing the playoffs.

I can see it happening, or at least months of constant moaning about it.

There are some good keepers in the division but Meslier isn't one of them.

He’s not the best, but he’s fouled on that occasion.

Surprised there’s been no mention of Ethan Ampadu missing out for Leeds with a knee injury that needs further assessment.

A sustained period out of the side for him would be massive. His leadership is missing a lot tonight already.

Meslier is so smart **** you wonder how he even got in his school team, let alone a pro contract.📑

The thing that concerns me about both these teams is there going to win a minimum of 8 of there last 12 games.

We are going to need to win nearly every game

Why Leeds didn’t strengthen their keeper must be the mystery of the season.

It may yet be the story of it.

(after the Blades striker had missed an absolute sitter from a yard far worse than anything Foster did recently)

But Leeds will get back into this. I dont think Sheffield have the composure - they have gone for early delivery into the final third but they can't keep the same pace.

It's whether DL can score

Leeds getting bullied. Classic Wilder, be interesting to see if they can keep this tempo up.

That's a really good point, he's a massive miss for Leeds.

If Sheff U get beat tonight and we turn them over at Turf, we just need to match them for the rest of the season

We only need 2 points more than Sheffield if we beat them at the Turf. Assuming they win tonight.

So if they win 8 we need to win 9, as long as one is against them.

25 on the clock and if you didn't know the table, you'd be thinking Leeds are Relegation fodder.

Fast tempo from Sheff Utd….. who are their legs that are going to keep it up? I think that’s what they lack in the middle of the park without Arblaster.
