Cup quarter final on the line and they serve that up, to a man including the manager absolutely horrendous performance.

Parker probably glad to be out of the Cup which we would never win and concentrate on the Championship where we have a great chance of automatic promotion

As long as they win on Tuesday it's totally forgivable

Same here, I'm more interested in how Leeds, Sheff U and Rovers get on.
We were never going to be up for it and match Preston's desire to win.
It's their biggest game of the season, for us not so.

I mean, it’s the first game we’ve lost since November and the first goals we’ve conceded since December.

We’ve had what we deserved in terms of the team selection and it’s been really bad, but let’s have some perspective.

We'd have only drawn City away anyway.

I think it is quite forgivable.

I think I've already moved on. Something will have been learnt. Not a good game.

Bottom line: it doesn't matter.

Who cares? The league is far more important. The only people who will give a flying duck are the ones with an agenda against parker. They will be out in force today.

Win at Cardiff and I could not give less of a ****, maybe that’s just me.

The big disappointment today is seeing how much poorer the likes of Worrall, Sonne, Shelvey, Sarmiento and Hladky are compared to our main men.

Yes.
Let's just hope we don't suffer a spate of injuries to
key men in the run in.

Yes ish. Because that was a v winnable game to get to a quarter final. And a local rival to boot. And we put in a performance like that. Awful. I mean the ref didn't really help.much but even so it was terrible.

Sarmiento and Koleosho had flashes but were out muscled. Foster was his usual, Benson is never a starter anyway - always been better coming on in the lat 20. Shelvey awful, Sonne kind of alright, Worrall dreadful and Pires was well Pires (that's a liability), not sure the keeper does .such against any of those strikes really - he's been left exposed.

That's a game to try and get some minutes into possible bench players and pretty much all.of them failed to deliver - not sure how a y of that does much for confidence in the League.

To be fair to Sarmiento, he'd really started to cause them problems so Parker decided to take him off for the absolute novice Banal who offered zilch.

Disappointing rather than unforgiveable.

Poor choice from the manager to go up against a very physical defence with Benson, Sarmiento, Koleosho and Foster. 2 very out of form players and 2 with around 5 minutes total game time in months and little physicality between them. Foster should be physical but really isn't and the other 3 are ball players not strongmen.

Because maybe, just maybe we could have gone to Wembley. What a day out eh? 10,000s of Clarets young and old having a day we’ll remember forever. Anyway, Cardiff Tuesday. I’m sure we’ll be speaking about if for years to come.

Sarmiento wasn’t great, but was the only one who actually ran at their defence, instead of the mind numbing pass it back and build out from the back stuff we serve up on rinse and repeat.

Winning at Cardiff is key.

You look a bit daft if you rest over half of your first team and then don’t win the game you’ve saved them for.

Sonne should go far under Parker as he has the ability not to pass the ball forward.

Unforgivable is a stretch. It was a worrying 90 minutes though. We were out fought, out run, and out played. We're not used to seeing that.

As many have already said, what it really showed was the gulf in class between our first 11 and the rest. We can't afford any injuries that's for sure. To a man, our back-up were diabolical today. Whether that's a lack of game time, or too many returning from injury I don't know. Parker won't have any headaches on Tuesday night - the 11 picks itself.

Final thought, I suggest Parker just didn't take the game seriously. The only thing you can say about PNE for certain is they're physical. Parker isn't stupid. He started Humphreys, Laurent, Hannibal, Flemming against them the other week. Starting with Luca, Sarmiento, and Benson today was a strange move. We were clearly never going to win the second balls. I hope his line up was more about getting minutes into players than anything else, as it looked like a line-up that had no chance of winning from the start.

Personally I won't. FA cup 5th round against local rivals. Quarter final at stake. One step from wembley. It's not pre-season 80's manx cup.

Manager: Play your best team. Players: Take your chance, and fight to for your place.

Shocking from all concerned. Utter utter garbage

First reaction no, Coventry seem to be on a run now and if we came up against them it’d be the Frank Lampard show……….but…….

We’d have a full strength team on the pitch………Wembley is a big pitch which would suit our play………and it’s like a lawn, not a paddy field like Deepdale.

Preferably not tho…….

Onwards and upwards……it’s a beautiful sunny day and we’ve got the afternoon to go for a fab walk, and finish with a beer at a wonderful country pub.
