We just weren’t up for the fight today, which is not something we can really criticise the players of lacking this season.

Can’t see anyone getting above a 5. Rank bad in every aspect. One shot on target in the second half when supposedly chasing the game sums it up.

We need to move on quickly and get ready for Tuesday. I actually feel the clean sheet record has become more of a hindrance in recent weeks, and although the league record is still intact, perhaps letting in 3 today will give us a kick up the backside that we can’t just defend our way to promotion.

Anyone who thought we needed to concede to be more attacking can surely now and give their head a wobble and realise even if we concede our tactics and approach is so ingrained we have little chance of a comeback. We just keep going the same way and hoping, our managers clueless beyond his tried and trusted formula.

Hladky 4 - Need a better #2. He has been caught flat footed every game in which he's played

Sonne 3 - Looked ok against Reading, dreadful in his other appearances
Worrall 3 - Seems a top lad, consummate pro but he's champ fodder. Prob one of our highest earners as well.
Esteve 4 - Got bullied by the Neanderthal up top for them today.
Pires 4 - We've got a problem on our hands here with Bashir's injury

Shelvey 4 - Skilful, got a wonderful range of passing on him but wasn't up for the battle today. He'd be fantastic in a walking football league.

It's a big game Tuesday now imo

Writing was on the wall when the lineup came out but the was even more rancid than expected and fully on the manager. A really disjointed performance that was always going to be the case with so many changes, especially against a full strength PNE who held our first team just a few weeks ago. Too many on the deck players for that beach of a pitch. Frustrating, given the rare opportunity to get into the FA cup quarter final. Of course the league is the priority but if people don't think a cup run can drive on the league form, then they’ve got short memories.

Hladky 4 stood in entirely the wrong place to prevent Brady putting the free kick where he puts 100% of his free kicks

Sonne 3 absolute tragic. Even his acting was crap.

Worrall 5 ok

Esteve 6 better than ok

Pires 4 not quite as good as below par

Brownhill 5 at least tried to make things happen but from too deep

Shelvey 3 can’t see him starting another game for us, based on this. Didn’t work at all.

Sarmiento 4 miles off it. Came into the game slightly and promptly came off.

Koleosho 4 worked hard but too lightweight and rusty

Benson 4 got some minutes in him at least but this really wasn’t the game for him

Foster 4 willing runner, more needed than that though

Forget today, it was a different team, but the two occasions recently where we've gone one down, we've come back to win one and draw the other, it's just that we don't go one down very often

Parker cost us that today. I heard someone try and defend it by saying Dyche threw the cup away too. He might have done but Jesus Christ we had a chance at getting to Wembley with a decent tie. Not one player was up for that today.
I’m looking to the leaders today. Worrall, Shelvey and the invisible captain Brownhill to get us going and they didn’t. That midfield today gave Preston the freedom of the city.
I’ve walked away from that embarrassed more than anything. 6 thousand have turned up for that and they’ve served up a standard of football that wouldn’t look out of place down Towneley

Hladky- 4. So slow. Free kicks a worldie
Sonne- 3. Have to hope to god Roberts gets us through this season.
Worrall- 3. Slow
Esteve- 4. Struggled a bit with Keanes physical presence
Pires- 3. Does some hard things well but cannot do the basics well enough

Shelvey- 3. Not fit enough to play from the start. Out of position and strolling around too often
Brownhill- 3. Not good enough as a midfielder receiving the ball with his back to goal. Never got to grips with their midfield and has never seen a captain in a million years. He should never be played in that position again. Anonymous

Benson- 4. They targeted him and kicked him all game, but he battled on
Sarmiento- 4. In the 5 minutes before he came off he actually started to try and play football. Before that anonymous
Koleosho- 3. The most frustrating winger I have ever seen at Burnley. Hopefully we don’t see him in another squad this year. £30 million turned down… makes you feel sick. We’d be lucky to get 3 million for him now

Foster- 5. Put himself about but never going to go well when our midfield was non existent

Fa cup 5th round, some of the big boys are out and we just throw it away. To be honest it was a disgrace of a selection. I said earlier in the week it's about mindset and that's exactly what It was. They were well up for it, knew they could bully us and did exactly that.

Hladky- 4 - he's just not very good.
Sonne - 5 - 3rd goals not his fault, brilliant ball over him. 2nd goal he probably takes partial blame.
Worrall- 3 - I'd give a 1 if I could, I've been concerned about him since day one but I didn't think he was capable of putting in a display that bad. It goes in the hall of fame for rank performances along with Dane Richards and a few others.
Esteve- 5 - Way below his usual.standards. He can be got at through pure physicality and aerial presence.
Pires- 5 - meh. He was far from the worst, but of course he will get piled on regardless.
Koleosho- 4 - Great chance that he scuffed with his left foot. There isn't a genuine championship footballer in there imo. Time for him to go probably.
Shelvey- 3 - he couldn't be arsed and can't run. Painful to watch, Bauress should have played and it's not really fair that we brought in and old has been who has then blocked his opportunities in the cup games which is the only chance he will get.
Brownhill- 4 - Really really poor. He is a 10 or nothing for me.
Sarmiento 6 - came alive 2nd half and was causing them real problems. Parker decided that would.be the perfect time to bring him off and give a total novice a game though. That sub said it all for me.
Benson- 4 - He hates that type of game quite visibly and spends half the time avoiding getting injured or kicked
Foster- 7 - I thought he played pretty well tbh

I thought it was a really strange game right from the off.

Part of me wonders whether or not the Hannibal incident had distracted them from the game or something. Because they were all just so out of colour.

I think that was Esteves worst game for us and that’s totally not like him at all.
