I’m a bit surprised though as I’d heard rumours he was looking to move back to Wales at the expiry of his contract.

I'm very happy about this, more so, after watching the game on Saturday.

Can't say i'm over the moon with this tbh. If we go up thats one position where we definetely needed to strengthen. With Roberts and Sonne already couldn't see us signing another right back.

Really delighted with that. He’s a key man for us and solid as a rock at this level. A character and the type you want in the trenches.

Really pleased. A good player a character and somone with an edge.

I think we worry about the Premier League if we are able to get up, there is a fair chance we stay down, if that happens I couldn't think of anybody better to play there.

If we go up, I’d hope that we are looking to recruit a right back and a left back. Roberts would be OK, no more no less, but so far, Sonne looks a long way short to me.

Didn’t see this one coming, genuinely seemed like he was on his way.

If we go up he’d be a perfect cover for me and if we don’t he’s good enough to help us have another crack next season

The manager and staff of his local Nandos are very happy about this.

I’d heard that too so I’m delighted with this news.

Very good news-he has had a good season and very much part of a legendary defence. He has chipped in with two goals and contributed to goals too. What pleases me as much as this new contract is the fact that morale "inside the camp" must be high for him to want to stay. CJ and Brownhill next would be even better news

You've forgotten Sambo as well, another right-back.

But I'm really pleased with this one. A very good, experienced player who has proved himself at the top level and in my view is one of the best in his position in the Championship.

Great news, one of the best in this division.

Supposedly couldn’t wait to get out of the place when he went on loan last season and didn’t want to return. Glad he’s had a change of heart as well as another big change that would have influenced his decision.

He was possibly hoping Swansea would improve to a level where they could a)afford him or b)compete at the top of the division. Going there now would be a really silly career move

Good business for Connor and the club. if he wants to go back to Swansea we get a fee.

I'd hope so too. Which would presumably leave Sonne to go out on loan, we also still have Sambo on the books. Just a bit worried we aren't really learning lessons in the transfer market.

He's 29, so it's likely the best contract he'll ever get now.

Like so many, he didn't look PL standard last season, but IF we go up, you'd like to think he'd be good cover for a better RB. Failing that, we'll just all be hoping that he's got better with age!

Like a few of our current players, he's a very good Championship standard footballer, but not quite good enough for the PL.

Some may disagree, but that's just my opinion.
