Think there's an element of trying to keep subs heavily involved I'm that selection. Very surprised to see Foster and Flemming come in

Looks to be set up with the assumption that Luton will come at us.

Don’t we always set up with that assumption?
Or does it just feel that way.

Haven’t seen Lutons team but I’d guess SP is expecting an aerial bombardment. After Tuesdays struggles that’s what I’d do.

This is SP’s problem for me.
They’re third bottom for Christ’s sake, we should be bothered about what we can do to them.

Match fact from BBC.
Luton unbeaten in last 8 visits to Turf Moor, W3 D5.
Last defeat in 1995.

Pragmatic selection. Although a bit surprisingly, Morris isn't starting, Adebayo is and Luton tend to be direct. We saw our centre halves struggle a bit with the direct ball and physical striker on Tuesday and Laurent will provide a bit of extra height and presence to get in front of the target man. It also adds height at set plays.
With Luton likely to play a back 5 it also allows the full backs to press on and on turn allows the wingers to narrow and get us closer to a 3v3 at the top end.
Reckon that's the theory anyway.

I think Laurent is in for Hannibal to add some height in the box, we know how Luton will attack us.
A 3 man midfield should be plenty against these, I just hope we have enough sense to play with the ball on the deck . Get it in the box low, hard and early. No ******* about today unless the scoreline permits it.

If Luton are to go down we could do far worse than poaching Alfie Doughty off them.

No stream so a question for anyone who is watching.
78% possession, no shots.
Are we trying to walk the ball into the net again.

If they're going to drop so deep into their own area, would it not be more likely for us to shoot on sight and get a ricochet?
Scrappy goal is probably more likely than us scoringa beautifully crafted strike.
