Do we have a clause in the loan where he has to play a % of games/minutes?
Honestly cannot understand how he even gets on the bench let alone always one of the first to be brought on, he offers absolutely nothing why are we turning to him to change and win a game for us?

he's been very disappointing on the whole, no way he gets a chance at Brighton.

Seems to be a favourite for Parker though but I don't see why, he does stopovers when he's 10 yards from a player, doesn't assist, doesn't score, doesn't even create chances.
I hope we don't buy him.

Said last night that he always seems to have soft feet, unable to withstand any physical challenges

He was at Ipswich on loan last season and despite promotion they chose not to go in for him and tbf I can see why. He's not hopeless, but he's nothing special and in fact he's a long way from it.

if I had a cat I would have booted it when he brought Sarmiento and Koleosho on instead of Benson. Benny has won games on his own with wonder strikes and he's often so effective off the bench. Not gonna lie, I had full blown Parker rage for a few minutes

I definitely agree. I was disappointed to see Benny wasn't one of the changes because I couldn't see Koleosho or Sarmiento making much of a difference and tbf I was right. People sat around me were all saying exactly the same.

It’s nearly two years since he last did that. Haven’t seen anything from Benson yet to suggest he’d be more effective.

I’m not sure scoring a last minute fourth in a 4-0 win counts as ‘winning the game with a wonder strike’.

I thought he started his time with us quite positively. But he's offered less and less as the season has gone on, to the point where I really don't see how he's even getting in the squad let alone on the pitch. In the last 3-4 months any game time he's had in the league has been spent losing the ball with a sloppy pass ot being dispossessed. I do think he's better than he's showing currently, but that wouldn't be hard.

Even having a quiet game as Edwards did, I would've much rather moved him into a 10 and put Benson on the right. He's still more likely to create anything than sarmiento.

Benson is a better option to score a goal when trying to chase a win. Baffles me

You've assumed there that Parker is actually trying to chase a win

Full of tricks and flicks, a pretty good engine, has a shot on him, but ultimately, he doesn’t seem to know how and when to apply it.

I can see why a team like Brighton would have brought him in, as one that may develop. Unless he starts to understand the game and his role in it, I don’t see him achieving at this level, never mind the one above.

He’d probably look cracking playing a game on Copacabana Beach.

Sums him up perfectly. He’s a busy fool. Can’t fault his effort but just doesn’t seem to have a footballing brain. Hangs on to the ball too long and makes poor decisions. He’s more suited to doing ball skill tricks in Trafalgar Sq.

The lad definitely has ability and puts himself about too, while being weak he's certainly not a tackle shirker. He's good in tight spaces but seems to lack any sort of intelligence or the ability to link with the side. He struggles to leave his mark on games. I'm not entirely sure if he's better suited to the attacking midfield spot rather than the wing but wherever it is he needs to start learning the role. I had high hopes for him and ultimately he hasn't delivered. Maybe he would suit a bit more of an open attacking side but dosnt look like he compliments this one.
I wouldn't be going for him in summer whichever league we are in.

We seem to have quite a few attacking players who don’t create, assist or score!

Hannibal, Koleosho, Sarmiento being the obvious examples of players who work hard, are capable, but for some reason they don’t offer anything offensively productive!?

I do think that our rigid, defence minded formation and tactics play a part in this as well to be honest. Our attacks are often very predictable and for some reason the manager never wants to try having an extra body up top when we really need to win games.

I’m less concerned about this approach last night because WBA are a decent side. However, because of all the drawn games against lesser opponents, we are now chasing the top 2 when we could/should be clear.

He had a couple of more promising appearances in a 10 before Christmas then ever since has been even less effective in a 10 than out wide

Problem with Sarmiento having a shot on him is that the shot could end up anywhere

Sarmiento looks to me like a player badly in need of an extended run of first team football. He's had two stop start loan spells with us and Ipswich and he increasingly looks like a player who is struggling to be match sharp as a result.

When he first got game time he looked like he might be a sort-of right footed Gudmundsson - good technically, fairly tenacious and comfortable playing wide and coming inside. But he's not kicked on at all and it's 3 or more months since he last made a meaningful impact on a league game. Last night he didn't look like the right sub at all and he did very little in his 10 minutes on the pitch - but when it's only a few minutes here and a few minutes there, it's hard to expect lots from him.

Repeat.

He is like a dog with a balloon. The goal against Portsmouth is the only thing I can remember him doing.

Neither will be going to league one. And in terms of ability Koleosho has proven he can hack it in the premier league, at a very young age in a very poor team. He's had a horrible season, but he's 20 years old. He wouldn't be going for 40 million at this point, but he'd still have suitors in the premier league.

I thought WBA feasted on our reluctance to go direct and get runners in behind, personally. Foster coming on was a nod in that direction but actually I thought the change might have been Foster left, Flemming (or Barnes as a change) centre and Anthony right for a spell, with Laurent replacing Hannibal and allowing Brownhill to get further forwards. That would have given us a couple of runners behind, but we'd have still needed a mindset change and a greater willingness to play the early ball.

Had that not worked, I'd have tried Benson yes. Sarmiento on the right wasn't the answer and whilst Benson can be lightweight he's a bit more direct than Edwards. The flip side is he's more one dimension but that dimension has won tight games at the death for us more than once.
