Just watched the highlights and watching the Coventry goal in slow motion, the ball seems to loop up off Roberts left arm (who's on the floor when the shot comes in) to Haji Wright, so I presume that's onside according to the current rules?

No it’s not. You have to intentionally play the ball.

Didn’t do one, he’d been sent off and for some reason managers that have been sent off aren’t allowed to do the post match interview.

What a save by Trafford tipped onto the post, didn't deserve to concede after that, especially in that manner.

It’s offside, and it’s quite a way offside too. No excuse for the Lino to miss that. The scorer was further towards the Burnley goal line than even Trafford when the ball was played to him by the other cov player. The fact that it hit Roberts on the way to him is irrelevant.

Had we had VAR, they would have found a way to allow it anyway.

Thankfully, we don’t have VAR. And yes, I’d rather have incompetence levels like this than the abomination that is the version of VAR we have to suffer every week in the PL.

I still can't think of a reason why Frank and Coventry were so annoyed, he was a terrible ref all round but the officials allowing their goal which shouldn't have been was the only reason they was in the game..I only remember them creating one other chance the whole game

From the interviews with their lot you’d think we’d been fortunate to win. They get given a goal that gets disallowed in a non league game and they still hardly had a shot on target, one save from Traff according to the stats, which was probably the one onto the post when they scored. Traff has not made an official save in the last 85 mins plus stoppage time.

It was a difficult game made harder for both teams by poor refereeing but they never looked like scoring to me in the second half particularly when they were supposedly dominant.

Trafs one save was the one that led to the goal, along with one of our shots being the Foster “assist” for our first.

They were more “dominant” in the second half, but we all know that being dominant in possession doesn’t mean mean anything when that possession isn’t the attacking third.
