Hope some fans are finally starting to see his value. Top player, unbelievable attitude and workrate. His positioning is phenomenal. Knows where the goal is and gets assists. He just delivers. And given he hardly kicked a ball last year unsurprisingly getting better all the time.
So many times this season I've seen negative comments about him being useless. One of the most underrated players I've seen play for us in a long while. Even while we were less of an attacking force he was often our only threat.

He's getting numbers now. There's been a huge improvement in the runs he makes and the positions he takes up and that's showing in his recent figures.
This was a big game as well and the type of fame he's struggled with all season so it showed real progression that he performed like that.

His footballing IQ is phenomenal; he's always in a position to receive a pass.
If he just added a touch more final product, he'd be every bit a PL player - let's hope he does and it's with us!

He has everything in his locker, it's his decision making that is generally his undoing.
The stick he has had this season is bizarre. The facts are, if he was a complete player with a consistent end product, he'd still be at Arsenal and pushing to be in their first XI.
If he continues to mature at the rate he is now then he's going to be a long term success and asset for us.

The stick he was getting was justified. His numbers were unacceptable when were going through all the 0-0s and he was lucky we had nobody that took his place. He could easily have been on the bench when Edwards came in if Koleosho had performed. Luckily he's come through it and now he's performing.

Edwards has unlocked him. One of the best first touches I've ever seen from a Burnley player, up there wirh Defour in that respect.

Excellent player. Always shows for the ball, always wants to drive us forward.
I was worried he was going to be the scapegoat that our “fans” seem to crave having, but surely he does enough to prove he’s an asset to the team?

Has really turned his performances up a notch since Edwards has come in to play on the right. Showed the value of persistence for his second goal in continuing to follow up on what looked like a lost-cause ball over the top and then having the positional awareness to roll the ball toward the net seemingly without looking up or taking another touch which could have given the defender/keeper chance to recover. He is a consistent danger now, and appears to be enjoying himself. Good lad.

Last week it was a positive from a negative that he was in the positions to miss the chances that he did
Next step if you keep getting into those positions is usually to start bagging
Excellent

Absolute nonsense the stick was justified.
First half of the season especially, he got numerous balls flashed across the box with no one attacking them. His first touch is a great example for any young players.
He’s been so consistent all season and long may it continue.

He had 2 goals in January for a team that usually completely dominates the ball. It wasn't good enough and he's rectified it. I'm sure he'd agree.
Incredible the things that people will argue about on here. It was quite clear where the problem lay earlier in the season.

The whole team were finding their feet as a unit, and we were building on clean sheets. As the season has progressed we have played with much more fluidity, and we have committed more bodies into our attacks. In addition, we have upgraded personnel on the opposite flank which has given Anthony more freedom. He's consistently performed for us all season.

The structure of the team was good, the whole team had nailed that down. But the wide men and the forwards were poor (in the attacking sense), they weren't making anywhere enough penetrating runs and they weren't getting into goalscoring positions in the box.
The final pass was commonly very poor as well.
There wasn't any excuse for it, they just weren't playing well enough. Parker himself has said similar without using those words. If there's one word I definitely wouldn't use for Anthony's first 6 months it's consistent. I found him incredibly frustrating because he'd put in a good display and we'd think we'd cracked it and then he'd throw in an absolute stinker.
This is why it's important to be patient with players..like you weren't with Pires.

I can't recall Parker ever insinuating that the wide players weren't playing well enough. I recall a number of occasions where he explained that he had set the defensive foundations and he was working with the squad to improve its attacking output, and that has come to pass.
Re Pires, I'd love to see you post a comment of mine where I've shown impatience with Pires. You won't, because one doesn't exist. Your tone on this thread has made me wonder whether you have been overly critical of Anthony in the past, and are desperate not to be proven wrong however. So this led me to have a quick search through your posts on Anthony, and sure enough there is a lot, and I mean a real lot, of criticism towards Anthony, and laughably nothing in the way of patience.

Was it all before our recent upturn in goalscoring form....I'm literally saying above he wasn't productive enough in my opinion. You don't need to go back to find what I thought. I've literally just told you.
Feel free to spend your Saturday evening going through my posts though.

When him and Edwards are on song, we are a potent team. I sometimes think Anthony misses a lot of chances but it proves he is in the right position-he has great anticipation. I think because his work rate is so good it has helped Pires at LB to show regular improvement to his game

As others have said, he's been helped hugely by Edwards' arrival - which has created space for all our other attacking players, but especially Anthony. It's also worth remembering that when he joined us he was coming off two very stop start years in which he'd never really had a run of games. If he was a bit inconsistent and looked at times like a player trying to regain his confidence during his first 6 months with us, perhaps that's no surprise and we're now reaping the rewards of sticking with him.
Leaving aside the fact he prefers the left, he reminds me quite a bit of Wade Elliott. He's got a bit of pace but his stand out attributes are a great touch and great technique, a willingness to work hard and a proper game intelligence. At times his decision making has let him down but that's improved as his confidence has increased and I suspect that's no coincidence.

He's a good player, though he missed 3 great chances last week, so he doesn't always 'just deliver'. He's a top end, patchy, championship winger. If he output much more than what he does he wouldn't be playing for us so it's right and proper to celebrate him when he does the business and feel lucky to have him, but no one's wrong for mentioning when he could've done better because he does show that he can be more clinical.
Edit: his first touch is absolutely up there with anyone else I've seen play for us. Wonderful, that part of this game.

Perfect example of a player that’s got better as the seasons gone on. He’s been fantastic recently and “peaking” like the team, at the right time.

Always thought he was a good player. Never understood the stick to be honest. You can tell Parker has a lot of belief in him. Glad the goals went in for him today as it makes up for the missed chances the other day.

I wasn't overly convinced at the start of the season but he's absolutely vital to what we do. Good work rate, tracks back, brilliant touch, creates things and now adding goals to our team. Chuffed to bits for him following a tough time since the loss of his mother.

Excellent at this level but not convinced he can make the step up. Failed previously in the Premier League but with a couple of years experience in the the tank and absolutely in sync with what Parker wants he might jut have enough to help keep us up
