I noticed he featured in the recent Clarets video centred around Ramsay’s recovery.
Is Beyer still injured and in recovery?
He’s contracted to us until 2027. Two more seasons.
If anyone could shed any light on this?

Thanks.
I assumed so.
Must be coming up for two years.
Hopefully he will play again.

Think his last game was Villa away 30th December 2023

What I don't get us that we have state of the art 'quicken injury recovery' machines and chambers and yet our injured players seem to disappear for weeks.
In the case of Beyer, we must pay for the best medics and scans and yet after weeks of rehabilitation, they seem to suddenly find out that it wasn't what they thought and so start again with surgery.
Most frustrating for these young athletes.
Are the medics dozy?

Imagine how long they'd be out of action for if we didn't have the state of the arts machines etc.

Ridiculous comment.

Didn’t Jordan have an op and then after going through rehab they found it hadn’t worked and he went through it all again?

I'm not sure how well researched the post was but there is a point behind it. Wenger said similar that despite all the fancy modern technology, muscle injuries still take approximately the same average recovery time as they did 30 years ago. Wenger isn't the type too just make stuff up so I presume he's seen some research to back that up.

Wenger whose standard answer to an incident was that he didn't see it? No, he doesn't make stuff up!
If you agree with the post in question, then you too must think that our physios are dozy. Your opinion I guess, but I'd love to see your proof.

I think it was that he was originally mis diagnosed and after a fairly lengthy lay off and plenty of treatment he was told he could resume training and regain match fitness. However it pretty quickly became clear to him that that wasn't going to happen as he was seriously struggling and on further investigation he needed major surgery and a massive reset. Hopefully he's well down the road now and eventually we'll see him back. Excellent player.

I wouldn't say our physios are dozy no. Although it seems like common knowledge that their treatment of Beyers initially injury was incredibly poor.
Also your comments about Wenger are just a bit silly. Can you really not see the difference between a manager protecting his club and players and a man speaking openly about his views on certain topics.

hopefully he can be the same player in time and be available to the squad next season regardless of where we are, because potentially we need to back fill those two critical spots with at least one player not involved this season. I'm not expecting him to play in these last games, but maybe he gets a run out for a few minutes if we are well ahead, unlikely but not a definitive no chance.

If the treatment was that poor, I'd be expecting Beyer to be taking legal action, but I haven't heard anything on those lines.
As for Wenger, good for you if you see him as trustworthy. I certainly never have.

I’m sure Arsene Wenger will be most distressed to learn that a poster on Uptheclarets who has chosen the pseudonym fidelcastro finds him untrustworthy

I doubt you'd know about it if he had gone down the legal route. It'd probably be in the clubs best interests to not allow that to happen as well.

Where have you heard the club physios were incredibly poor? I was under the impression that Beyer's injury was relatively rare, and so diagnosis was a challenge, including from external specialists.

Agreed, but the only people privy to such information regarding his treatment are the people at the club.
Claiming that the management of his injury was poor is just guesswork.

I didn't say the club physios are poor. That's a misquote. There has been many comments on here, some by reliable posters, that suggests Beyer wasn't happy with the treatment he received.

You don't see a difference between saying 'it seems like common knowledge that their treatment of Beyers initially injury was incredibly poor' to 'the physios are incredibly poor'..?

The thread is specifically about Beyer. I said 'were' not 'are' - it should be obvious I was referring to your comment that you thought their treatment of Beyer's initial injury was incredibly poor. Particularly if you were able to answer why that was the case.

It has no doubt been incredibly tough for the lad, and let’s hope he can get back to playing next season.
I’m sure the doctors and physios are doing all they can to get him back to full fitness, and I dare say 40-50 years ago this may well have ended his playing career!
