If we win the league

Post by Cleveleys_claret » Mon Apr 07, 2025 12:53 pm

Big big if but if we were to win the league, what day would you think the parade would be on?

If there was any sense between the club & Council, they would already have provisional plans in place for it to be on the Sunday or Monday (it is Bank Holiday)

It’s not like they could just dig out the plans used 2 years ago either and the road layout has changed since then

Let's just get promoted first.

I haven't given any sort of parade a seconds' thought.

Burnley Council and local councils as a whole are not renowned for their sense.

We’re now in pole position, but there’s a long way to go yet.

You'd think we'd won it already reading some of the comments on this board.

Far too many hurdles to get over before we can even think about it

Woah up here boys!

As CT highlighted on the Walsall thread a lot can happen in football and with over half a dozen or so games to go it's no time to be counting chickens....except maybe at deadwood!

Leeds favourites on skybet to win it.
We’re favourites for promotion.

How does that work?

I've just seen that our player awards are in Manchester on the Sunday night (4th)
That 200 quid a ticket one.

So I can't see the club wanting to do anything that weekend.

Bookies base their odds on the amounts they stand to pay out. I assume so many people have backed Leeds, both at the start of the season and again a few weeks ago when it looked like they were going to run away with it. We have always been the least popular in terms of people betting on us.

Let's not turn into a Leeds or a Sheffield United and think we're already up..This type of thing just fuels opposition fans.

Lots of twists and turns before we can even celebrate promotion,.let alone worry about a parade..

It’s a corporate event to raise money for charity, far more productive for it to be in glitzy Manchester.

For £200 a pop I’d be disappointed if it wasn’t

The Newcastle celebration last week was ticket only, with live music and DJ's.
Totally alienated a large %ge of the local population.

I hope Burnley don't do anything like that.

I thought originally it was in Manchester because of Vincent Kompanys connection to the city and high rollers?

Let's see if this one is as productive there with a London based manager.

Quite literally nothing to do with the manager, whoever it is. My brother goes every year.
