60s - House of the Rising Son, Animals. Saw The Animals live doing this at Great Yarmouth whilst on Burnley holiday week- loved Eric doing this.
70s - Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen. Seemed so different from anything else and great to sing along to (still is).

Something Better Change /Straighten Out by The Stranglers because it was the first serious record I bought which went onto send me on an obsessive musical journey which still lasts to this day 48 years later

Not my favourite record by a long way but the first one I ever bought was “By the banks of the Ohio” by the gorgeous Olivia Newton John.

Strange no one has mentioned the Beach Boys. "Surfin USA" was a classic. Looking back though there were some fantastic songs.
