Re: Today's Football
if Ipswich win today they will complete the double over Chelsea. Can't see the Chelsea hierarchy being too chuffed about that, wonder how long Maresca will last.

Re: Today's Football
Liverpool limping over the line. Almost like they're struggling to get themselves going with it being virtually in the bag so early.

The teams in 2nd and 3rd are hardly applying any pressure are they? The focus for Arsenal is now Europe and the Forest fire are now dying embers.

So you start another round of "last man standing" and Chelsea are bound to beat Ipswich at home aren't they!

Bailey Peacock-Farrell on the bench today for Birmingham
Didn't realise that we sold him to them last year

Re: Today's Football
Hopefully the Birmingham love in will subside for a bit. Never have been nor ever will be a well supported club imo.

Just looking around at players past and present.. Ekdal seems to be playing quite a few full games but Amdouni seems to start very rarely.. Ashley Westwood captaining Charlotte to the top of their league

1980 we were already relegated and they were chasing promotion I think they fetched around 6k in the League cup tie 1982 fetched around 1000 and everyone of them looking for troubleblatherwickstattoos wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 4:55 pmCan’t recall anytime they’ve brought over a thousand to the turf

Back end of one season, probably mid-2000's they were in the play-off positions and brought around 500.blatherwickstattoos wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 6:13 pmBit before my time that browny mate . Doubt they’ve brought anywhere near that since

Could do with a Coventry win tonight....keep any fancy ideas that Watford might have about play-offs in check.

Re: Today's Football
BBC commentators waxing lyrical about the long throw game employed by both Coventry and Hull....I don't think anything in the whole of football leads to a more boring spectacle with both sides playing for touch like 70's rugby union sides.

Subs taking an age at Bournemouth. When clubs make multiple subs why can’t they be done at once. Why do we have to wait for the board to go up?

Jack Rudoni looks a decent player for Coventry.
Re: Today's Football
Watched him quite a bit when he was at Huddersfield and he always stood out.
Re: Today's Football
Kitching for Coventry has done nothing but moan all game.

They have to justify the fourth official - takes seemingly forever if there is more than one changeBordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 9:18 pmSubs taking an age at Bournemouth. When clubs make multiple subs why can’t they be done at once. Why do we have to wait for the board to go up?
Re: Today's Football
Most assists in the league this season, I think.
Re: Today's Football
It's not as though you can always see the board numbers anyway! Bit like doing the FA Cup draw with a bag of balls. The big screen shows all.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 9:18 pmSubs taking an age at Bournemouth. When clubs make multiple subs why can’t they be done at once. Re: Today's Football
Purely from a Watford perspective, the equaliser doesn’t mean much. They’d still be 7 points behind the playoffs and have inferior goal difference. They’d to win all four of their remaining games and still need several collapses above them.

Re: Today's Football
Watford won't see it that way....they have a possible total of 68 points... that's how they'll see it...they'll come out fighting on friday.
