As per title, what ground have you visited as a Burnley fan where something just never goes right and you have bad memories?
Mine is Vicarage Road. Think I've seen us win there once in 5 visits.
Some frustrating memories - the infamous quarter final (less said about that the better). And going there again in 2012, 2-0 at HT and losing 3-2.
Fortunately I will not be going on Friday so my bad luck will not be passed on

. Whats yours?

By my calculations we’ve played 12 times at the Etihad, lost 10, drawn 2. I haven’t missed any of the losses (Covid aside). I was on holiday for both of the draws.

Peterborough for me. We’ve won there once and I missed it.
Then there is Grimsby. I’ve seen cup wins there but we haven’t won a league game there since 1947.

West Brom for me. I've been a number of times but this year is as close I've got to a win. I remember Koumas and Ellington ripping us apart in the mid noughties. I've seen at least a couple of hammerings down there.

I think we'd all happily forget the 6-5 debacle - what a night that was

Millmoor.
Been about three times and it’s always been a miserable experience, and not just because of the location and general ambience. Some truly shocking performances.

Bury, I even went last week to watch Padiham there to make amends for all our Claret failings.
But they got tubbed 4 nowt. Maybe in 20 years we can get revenge

Derby's Baseball Ground for me. Only went there twice but saw us get beat both times and all in the space of a couple of weeks back in Jan 92.

London Road, Peterborough.
Seemed to go there every season when at Uni back in the 80's.
Never, ever seemed to win there.
There was always a decent following as well. Nice long drive home for them too.

Only been once but was at the Spurs game when Son scored that goal - only time in 40 years ive left any ground early - when the fifth went in we headed for the tube to beat the rush and so the wives could go drink gluwein in Hyde Park
I think i've seen us win at least once everywhere else i've been

I was at that game, Nov 2006. My one and only trip to the Hawthorns. Rushing off from work on a Sat morning, got a lift down and walked in the ground at 2.59pm. By 3.07pm we were 2-0, and 3 by HT. Frank Sinclair was sent off later on.

Being an exiled Claret my closest ground for watching Burnley is Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium - once voted the worst ground in the country due to the open end which is at the mercy of the bad weather coming from the River Medway. Can’t remember too many entertaining games and certainly not many victories either.

Been to Ewood 3 times with Burnley, first was the Lancashire Cup Final in 1985, complete with the cord being pulled on the train and getting off the train in the tunnel and running into the town centre, to be picked up by the Police and escorted to the ground. We missed the kick off and lost and were then bricked on Mill Hill station after the game. Second time was 1st April 2001 which we will pass by and then the FA Cup reply when Micah Hyde scored a screamer only for us to lose again.
I went in the 80s when they played Grimsby at the end of the season and could have been relegated, quite a few Clarets there and it kicked off when Rovers scored and a couple of their lads jumped up in the away end. I went with a mate who is a Forest fan, think it was 1986 FA Cup replay and Rovers won that one 3-2 and with a mate who is a Villa fan in 1988 and they won that 3-2 also. And finally went with West Ham December 2002 which was a 2-2, bets moment of the day was when i got the whole away end singing "where were you when you were ****" I also went to the game at the Boleyn in Feb 2002. I was stood outside the Queens on Green Street with a few West Ham fans before the game when a coach of Rovers fans stopped opposite. They were giving it the Gareth Hunt Nescafe shake at what hey thought were all Hammers. And then I raised my claret & blue scarf above my head to reveal Burnley FC and it sent them into a real rage.
On the flip side, I have been to Luton 5 times I think and we have won every one of them.....

You're right, but I'd say one of my top 5 away games is the Ian Wright goal Tuesday night trip in 99/00 promotion season. Some feeling when that goal went it for a crucial point against a promotion rival.

That's the one, a cracking day out
I can remember turning to my brother after ten minutes to see if he fancied going to the pub instead. In hindsight, I wish we had!

It was almost a relief to see Sinclair get sent off that day after the runaround Koumas gave him. Played like we'd dragged a fan out of the away end and stuck a kit on him.

I’m another for Peterborough.
The only highlight I can recall is following a 5-0 drubbing was my mate Neil winning £50 on a slot machine in a roadside cafe on the journey home.

That was a weird night. I was thinking of it the other day for some reason. Good clarets following as it was £10 special offer I recall. Forest were abysmal and the stadium was flat as a pancake.

Anywhere where Manchester City play, right from the day we lost 7 - 0 at Maine Road in December 1968.
It got so bad more recently that I turned down a ticket to The Etihad for the Quarter Final in March 2023. I wasn't keen on watching yet another drubbing!

Plainmoor - Torquay. It's a hell of a trek, I've been 3 times ( twice in one season) and never seen us win
