Odobert won't be available for loan unless they make some star signings in his position.

McAtee would be quite a coup

All decent players but we are lightweight in midfield for PL and none of them would help. Anthony has nailed his spot wide left so Odobert would need to play right.
It’s a big, strong, pacy, goalscorer we need with Flemming as his 10. Whether we know one is another matter.

We will need a major rebuild ( again ) if we want to compete in PL.

He hasn't been pulling up trees recently but Broja would give us some presence up front. Maybe Lokonga as well.

Subject to current negotiations being concluded on loanees/ contract ending, desperate need for players capable of playing up to PL standard in attack and midfield. I'm thinking a smaller squad of good players who can 'make a difference ' rather than a large squad of pointless bench fillers.

We will be certain to have Edwards and Anthony in the wide roles. Cullen depends on whether Parker thinks he can improve on him (I suspect not) so I think him too. Esteve and Trafford depend on them staying, I ain’t got the foggiest.
Other positions could all be improved on. So loans should focus there after filling roles with ex Clarets who wouldn’t otherwise be available at our level. I’d love it if we can resign Trippier, whose days I suspect are numbered in the NE.
Probably up front is the area I suspect we will struggle to buy quality so a loan may make sense. One of the up and coming young stars from the big 6 in the Delap mould from a year ago, big and strong who can finish.
p.s. we are not up yet of course.

Only allowed two loans from English clubs should we go up

We need athletes. Very little pace or strength in this team and you need one (ideally both) in the Prem.

What always stands out whenever we return back to the Prem is just how massive all the players are.

Macatee mentioned above from Man City is highly unlikely. I saw him play for just 20 minutes a few months ago and he is some talent. He is also very much part of the City starting squad and will be playing more games in the near future. What about the LB at City who was part of the squad when Kompany joined us, and had been on loan in Belgium, may have even been at Anderlecht

given his form for Luton, his lack of game time at Villa I wouldn't be against Ross Barkley if he was up for a move (unlikely because of wages no doubt).

I'll add, should we go up we likely wont see much of the ball so set pieces will be huge for us a both ends, we will need some bigger lads who can play and have some experience. Michael Keane is out of contract in the summer and whilst he's 32 could do a job for a couple of years.

Keane didn't have a good game today when he come on for the injured Tarky.
Confidence looks shot.

Is that correct, or do you mean two loans from Premier League clubs? Can you not still technically loan from football league clubs in addition to two from Premier League clubs?

Yes he was poor, I was thinking out loud about realistic options - he absolutely wouldn't be my first choice !

I don't think we should be even considering Keane now. He's nothing like the player he was from what I've seen of him.

yes, he would be down the list but as he's OOC thought it worth a mention as a potential option rather than Vegas approved

.He can't seem to sort his feet out but still wins plenty in the air. I suspect he'll end up in the Championship

If we’re in the prem then Ross Barkley would be good.

Keane was good up to two seasons ago, but right now he,s no better than Joe Worrall

Not a loan, but if Traff is off I wouldn't mind Ramsdale as our No 1 keeper - I think he is underrated.

I think we will be heavily shopping in the North East this summer for a number of positions.

Now't like setting up for a big fall. Calm down until we secure promotion!

Saw somewhere that he was being linked with Man Utd who might be a slightly bigger consideration to him
Very astute of him and his agent to get the deal to join Southampton, on good wages, and keep in first team action
Even better if that deal included a relegation release clause
