Has taken us back up. After the late August craziness.

Huge respect and thanks.

A superb achievement - we could have easily spiralled down to midtable with the wrong appointment... He has been nothing short of superb.

I hope he is our manager for the best part of a decade (like Dyche). Get in.

It hasn't been pretty at times but he has galvanised probably the most 'together' team Burnley has ever seen. Massive, massive credit.

An incredibly astute appointment. Huge credit to Alan Pace, when I think the majority were leaning towards RVN.

Parker is a top manager, and he carries himself impeccably.

Hopefully he’s here for a long, long time.

Keep saying these things next season when results will be very different. Support him and the team if when we lose by four or five goals. He will not have become a bad manager.Pace will not be a bad chairman for failing to bridge the enormous gap in quality.

Immense effort by Parker to galvanise the squad after the August transfer window. I was worried after we lost at Sunderland as the interviews with Brownhill, Esteve, and Parker were all very downbeat and frustrated. It would have been easy for Parker to throw his toys out of the pram and say "this isn't what I signed up for!", but he's been impeccable... unlike the imbecile in the Sheff U dugout.

A well deserved promotion based on old-fashioned values. It feels very Burnley!

UTC!

To every fan that shows some humility and admits that their judgement was wrong you have my utmost respect.

Every single one of us gets something wrong in our lives now and again.

I am proud to have SP as our manager. He has conducted himself impeccably this season despite some of the background noise.

Thank you Scott!

I've felt virtually all season that we were good, but not quite good enough and we'd finish a close third and I never thought that would be Parker's fault. In my eyes he's out performed with this squad, particularly given our lack of goal threat. The guy done very good (imo)

Scott Parker has done a quite phenomenal job given where we were squad wise after the transfer window. Also comes across as a humble and very well grounded fella. So pleased for him and the club to achieve promotion again. Fantastic achievement.

He's done this twice before though, can he kick us on?

Certainly not with some of this squad.

We’ve lost 5 games in 113 championship matches and only 15 in 181 matches in the last seasons weve been in the championship.

Wouldn't have been my first choice, but I wasn't unhappy at the appointment and backed him throughout when he was getting unfair pelters from a few directions. He's been composed throughout, the players clearly rate him and that's pretty telling.

Will he be able to keep us up? It'll be difficult, the gap is huge. I'm sure he'll have learned from past experiences though, and hopefully the club and the supporters remain patient even if it isn't going well.

An end of season table does not lie. Respect to Scott & Pace for an incredible season when morale was so low last May. Scottie has had to do it his way having lost Amdouni, O Shea, Zarourry, Vitinho, Berge and several more inheriting a team that on paper was not good enough to maintain a serious sustained challenge. He kept us in the race all season in the meantime creating belief and camaraderie that developed players like Trafford, Brownhill, Fleming, Hannibal, Anthony , Bashir, Pires and Laurent into a team of serious challengers. People have made comparisons with Kompany,s promotion year and whilst that was exciting we conceded more than 14 goals, lost more than 2 games, and could not match a 30 unbeaten run. But what I really like about Parker is we are seeing the real person -no nasty surprises to come in the future. Proud to have him as our manager, and absolutely thrilled for Alan Pace tonight and our wonderful supporters

I am so pleased we took note of those Bournemouth and Fulham fan's comments :)

Picking up draws rather than losses is what has seen us up against a fight against two very good championship sides in Sheffield and Leeds.

Parkers had it spot in all season. He's brought the feeling back that we had under Dyche. Hard work and graft feels more rewarding than luxury football sometimes.

Think back to the end of the away game against Sunderland. It was desperate. CJ was thrown in, we could barely field a competitive side. And we've lost a solitary game since. Well done Scott, incredible achievement.

Imagine thinking after the Sunderland game that we would only lose one more game to now. Remarkable.

This will go down as one of the true great historical seasons ever by the club especially if we can win it with 100 pts. We've had some amazing achievements but this has to be up there. If we can stay up next season then he should go down as one of the great managers of our club!

I was saying earlier this season it was promotion or the sack because the football was so dour. That criticism was fair, the performances were unacceptable.

But on the last day or two of the window we signed Marcus Edwards and the season changed. Suddenly we score plenty. Couple that was Parker’s decency and squad bonding it is a good combo.

I still worry about his risk vs pragmatism balance (e.g. taking Edwards off on 60 rather than 75 today) but I wholeheartedly congratulate him on our promotion and for next season he has my full support throughout whatever happens.

Ultimately, you can't doubt his decision-making after bringing promotion, and pretty comfortably in the end. Why worry? He was totally right yet again. Sheff Utd were not threatening, didn't really looked that determined and we saw the game out pretty easily I thought, and could even have done better on the counter with some of the positions we got ourselves in. With a better quality player coming, as you've accepted, we've looked better. Quite rightly, he was probably cautious earlier in the season, due to our attacking players, and laying the defensive foundations for an end-of-season push, which he probably forsaw was gonna be better after a season's work. He needs to be given massive credit for the way he's managed this season.
