30 on our current squad list.

Looks like only 7 regulars and 3 long term injuries look like remaining, are these up to PL standard.

Of 10 out of contract - how many will stay
Brownhill
CJ ER
Bashir Humphrey’s
Fleming
Sarmiento
Anthony
Edward’s - think we have to buy
Too old
Redmond 31
Barnes 35
Shelvey 33

Largely unused 8 some youngsters
Green - at 24 can he replace Trafford
Hvladky at 34 can he?
Sonne 24
Tresor 25
Banel 20
Aygei 20
Sambo 23
Worrall 28 can he replace Esteve

Likely to be sold - Transfermarkt values
Trafford £20m
Esteve £18m.

Remaining injured - 3
Bayer
Ramsey
Benson

Remaining regulars 7
Pires
Roberts
Cullen
Laurent
Hannibal
Koleosho
Foster

How much is in the bank to add to the income from sales

Will be an interesting summer

Nothing like a factually inaccurate post to kick off the day after gaining promotion.

Edwards, Anthony and Bashir all stay. No doubt we will need to bulk out a bit but I’d rather not go silly and have a huge squad like last time. Let’s have a core group of players who are willing to give everything and fight to keep us up. I suspect CJ will stay, maybe Brownhill.

If Trafford is only worth 20 million I dread to think what Onana is worth now.

5p?

There’s gonna be some clear out that’s for sure , but once the garbage is cleared then bit of cash for junkyard dogs like Foster/Redmond/Sambo etc and money good brought in for Traff/Steve/Tres etc we ,should have a decent framework .

Ramsey
Benson
Beyer
Bashir
Edwards
Brownhill
Cullen
CJER
Anthony
Sarmiento ?
Koleo ?
Hannibal ?

Those values for Trafford and Esteve 🤣.

Whatever the value. I am just really hoping we find a way of keeping them happy and starting next season.

We are really fighting the odds anyway with the way the game has gone, but those two particularly are top 6 quality comfortably.

To replace them you are either having to revert to the Kompany method (really relying on identifying a young diamond from Europe… which has its own risks and ultimately unlikely they’d adapt quick enough to compete in the premier league) or pay through the nose and potentially have to offer contracts which really expose us if we get relegated.

It’s a tough summer, but both Pace’s, and Parkers, decision making over the last 12 months, is generally a positive.

Ultimately right now I just want to enjoy and savour the promotion!

I just can’t see us selling our two best players (Trafford & Estève). If Newcastle offer us silly money for Trafford then fair enough.

We still have players out on loan.

I genuinely don't follow any of this transfer / contract stuff too closely. Enjoy the promotion, watching the play-offs, the summer, see some cricket. I'll check who's starting for us in August.

Despite the player turnover only 18 players have played over 10 games.

30 + appearances
Trafford, Pires, Egan-Riley, Esteve, Roberts, Anthony, Brownhill, Cullen, Laurent, Mejbri, Sarmiento, Flemming

10 +
Humphreys, Koleosho, Jay Rod, Foster, Edwards, Barnes

My understanding is the Egan-Riley, Brownhill and Sarmiento are the only ones who don't have an agreement in place to be with us next season.
I really hope that CJ and Josh will put pen to paper now that we know that we'll be in the Premier League.

I expect that quite a few of the others in the squad will need loans elsewhere to find game time.

Next you will be telling us when the PL fixtures are out.

I need to do this. Every year I get sucked into the transfer window thread. I'm going to try and take your pragmatic approach this year. UTC

The great thing is we are promoted early which gives more time to work the transfer market. I am sure the club will have a good idea who will be leaving and who will be staying or offered new contracts

Hi Bill
These are on Transfermarkt but no great hopes apart from Amdounis amazing valuation after 5 appearances with 2 starts
(Obafemi scores winner v against Leeds)

Their age, Burnley contract end date, Team, games and goals figures and TM value below

Age ends team games goals value
Delcroix 26 Swansea. 10. 0. £4m
Churlinov 24 2026 Bialystok 23. 5. £1.5m
Amdouni 24 2028. Benfica. 5. 1. £15m???
Hountondji 22 2028. Liege. 3. 2 £2.8m
Massengo 23 2027 Auxere 13. 0. £ 5.0m
Ekdal 26. 2027. Groningen 9. 0. £5m
Obafemi 24. 2025. Plymouth 29. 2. £ 2.0m
Adewumi. 20 2028. Dundee 25. 4. £300k
Costelloe 22 2026 Northampton 13 6 £350k
Dodgson. 22 2027. Burton 19. 1. £250k

Regarding TM valuations comments from others - these don’t reflect Transfer fees which are dictated by market forces and can be higher if in demand and we won’t sell or lower if we need shut of them with no buyers

I agree and hope so, the challenge will be to bring in others with whatever we get from sales and loan deals.

Useful info dibradio
We’ve had two very turbulent summers with lots of ins and outs and sides taking time to know each other then getting broken up.
We can’t afford to do that again

Our loans this season don’t seem to have been helpful. I guess we have youngsters in development who could benefit or have already. Thought we had links with Fundee and Ayr to do that

Keeping Josh and CJ would be ideal, but both have played well and could get much better offers to leave.
Here’s hoping!

Re Esteve
Spurs said to have offered £20m and we were said to have wanted £30m
Other clubs interested at various times Everton and West Ham.
Not very attractive club league positions.

If I recall correctly, Spurs made a bid for Maxime around 11pm on deadline day (Feb) reported at £20m.

We all know what Levy's like but I think even he realised it was a gag probably just to keep his happy chappy manager at bay.
