Scott Parker has ‘admirers’ at Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Daily Mail, with the London club likely to let Ange Postecoglou in the summer.

Surely not?

I assume we're going to see SP linked with every single managerial vacancy above League 1 now, aren't we?

I've had this in the back of my mind watching Spurs results in the last couple of games now.
Ange will definitely go at the end of the season, just hope they go for a more experienced manager.

Some on here would be happy and be hoping that rooney would replace him

It might just be somebody putting his name down because he used to play for Spurs and he has now had three promotions.

Stop worrying, they will be looking for someone with much more top level experience than Parker.

Have we ever been promoted and not seen our manager almost immediately linked with a bigger job?

Coyle was Celtic, Kompany was Spurs. I’m sure Dyche was linked with moves elsewhere too.

I think Spurs appointing someone with zero pedigree at this level might be the final straw for their Levy-hating fanbase.

Who thought Kompany to Bayern Munich would have happened ?

I think it's more likely that we will take a member of Spurs' coaching staff this summer, rather than the other way around.

Matt Wells, current Spurs first team coach, has been Parker's assistant everywhere but Burnley.

Dyche, West Brom?

Probably a prelude to Parker signing a new contract with us.

Maybe if Andres Iraola, Marco Silva, Thomas Frank and Oliver Glasner all reject Spurs they might consider Parker. Not very likely though is it.

Parker to Spurs, Alonso to Real Madrid, Ancelotti to Burnley.

Kompany is a bigger name. For some strange reason clubs seem intoxicated by managers with exotic names & managers who were good players thinking the 2 seamlessly dovetail together. A bland englishman who might be a better manager will get overlooked for a Carlos Alfonso.

Was only thinking the same this morning. The scale of the PL challenge would justify it

You have to play the "Spurs Way". Like the famous "West Ham Way".

The fans wouldn't give him time because they think they're a "big club".

It's levy that pulls the strings if it was up to fans AP would be long gone. I'm surprised AP has lasted that long considering the league position even with kanes departure. Levys got a good relationship with AP likes him or it's going to cost an extraordinary amount of money to part ways any other manager would be long gone.

They haven't sacked Ange because,
'he always wins something in his second season',
has been the mantra since the start of the season.

They could still qualify for Champions League.

They'll be something at the end of season regarding season objectives (failure) that stipulates he can go without breaking the bank. He's a dead man walking.

Just looked him up and he’s obviously a Spurs guy, so may not move on even if Ange does, but has been in the first team set up for two years and someone who knows the league, players, fitness levels needed, etc would be a good addition.

Might also help us on the counter attacking front which presumably we’ll be relying more on next season.

Spurs will want a guy with a proven top league record. Promotions mean very little in that stratosphere. Two attempts, two sackings will scare them off. Next year he has to prove he can build a side to stay in there and compete. I have faith.

And I think that’s exactly why they won’t want to take another risk (which Parker would be).

I'd like to think that Scott Parker has more class than leave an unfinished project, as our previous manager did

They've had their fingers burnt by a lesser light in Postecoglu. Theyll go for someone established in the prem or someone vacating a top position in Europe I would hope.

When they sack AG you would imagine he will command a fair decent pay out. Same with a few other of their recent managers.

Levy is famously tight as a ducks ar5e.

SP will be a cheap hire and something different. Young manager with links to the club.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes.

Weirdly, although I don’t want him to leave I won’t be overly worried. Relegation is almost certain next season the way things have moved on. SP was unable to keep a team in the prem when it was possibly easier to do so.

I don’t want him to go, but the world won’t end

You seriously think vk would/should have turned down Bayern?

Not that he has a dog in this fight or anything, but Talksport 'pundit' ex Spurs Jamie O'Hara started the whole 'Parker to Tottenham' thing.

He's no fan of Ange.

After VK got the Bayern job, surely Scott will be holding out for Real Madrid.

My worry is, I think Real may be a tad more attractive to Scott. Hope I'm wrong. ;)
