Good report TC. I think like you we all struggled with nerves-I just kept reminding myself we had gone 30 games undefeated and beaten both Leeds and Sheff Utd in the process. Dont think its sunk in yet

Fabulous report thanks Tony.
Think you summed it up for all us Clarets with your cloud nine comment.

Glad it wasn’t just me that was beyond nervous yesterday
:D

For some reason, this feels a lot sweeter to me than the Kompany promotion, so can relate to the cloud 9 feeling!

I have to say that taking 10 points from a possible 12 against Leeds and Sheff U has made all the difference this season.

Also, I think Scot Parker has planned for a 46 game season, paced our efforts, with the intention of being strong at the end and managed our injuries from this season superbly.

I also want to point out the efforts of John Egan, Joe Worrall and Ashley Barnes, and at the same time acknowledge how unfair this season must have seemed for the likes of Redmond, Ramsey, Shelvey, Benson, Tresor, Bashir and Sonne and any of our subs who didn't get many minutes.

These are to be savoured. They don’t keep coming round so my advice is always to enjoy every last moment of it.

These words are so true CT. Had a fantastic time yesterday with an unexpected hospitality invite, will live long in the memory.

Out of our 3 BH Monday promotions at Turf Moor that one is probably just above the Wigan win.

Same for me with superstitions. I did my usual and slept through the game. I didn’t dare watch.

Just to warn everyone, I’m definitely watching the QPR game.

Nah. Get yourself a Nitol a couple of hours before the game ;) . There'll be time to be awake after the season is complete

Hi Darnhill Claret,

Have the national media underlined those 10 points from 12?

Excellent report T.
Just one thing I sit in the Bob Lord end near the opposition.
fans. It felt to us that the first foul on Flemming where he scythed down at ankle level could not have been more obvious. The award of a penalty a few minutes later felt like an apology( by the ref) decision.
A fabulous night which you describe so vividly.

Great summary CT and your emotions matched and shared by tens of thousands of Clarets around the world.

Regarding the Flemming penalty shout it looked from my view over 100 yards away in the North Stand upper as if Flemming’s legs were clipped as the players’ paths crossed.

However I’ve since watch the slo-mo replay on TV and I couldn’t see any touch at ankle level between the players. However the Sheffield lad reached out with his arm and tried to grab Flemming and defo made contact with his upper body at which point Flemming did a perfect horizontal dive into the Turf Moor grass.

So yes shouldve been a penalty but for a slightly different reason than many of us thought.

Thanks a lot Tony. Great emotion filled report.
Monday was the culmination of a great season. The consistent performance, week-by-week drive forward toward promotion.
I really hope we can keep this squad together after their great achievements.
Onwards and upwards.

We really have been relentless in the last 14 games, with plenty of goals scored. Having seen that teamsheet at Sunderland, going up is remarkable. Well done to everyone, especially Scott and his staff.

Well, that's very kind of you and very much appreciated. Did what I could when I could and have to say that those around me also made wonderful
contributions. What ?????? 😒😒

I’m not entirely sure there was any contact, but if there was it was certainly just outside the area. Think the ref got it right tbh.

Nothing apologetic in awarding the penalty, you'll never see a more obvious one. I've seen it a few times now and still can't work out what the defender is trying to do - not that I care much.

Good report, as they always are thank you, I was nervous for the first time this season, but very nervous, which started the night before. I watched the whole game in 10 minute blocks, it was the first time I’ve ever been like that 🙄.

Some great performances, I chose Hannibal, but only just:)
