I’ve a cockney West Ham fan next door to me, I asked him to explain what the “West Ham” way is. I didn’t really get an answer, although when I mentioned I thought Moyes brought them stability and that you should have tried to keep him he just said he didn’t like the way he set the team up. Cuckoo land some people. So I’m still none the wiser of the “West Ham” way if anyone can enlighten me.

For a club of their size it's a bit laughable that they've never won the league.

Who knows what the "West Ham Way" is?
David Moyes certainly achieved their best position in the PL in 2020/21 when they finished 6th, their highest place this century and this was folloowed by 7th place in 2021/22 which led to their entry into the Europa League which they won in 2022/23.
In 2020/21 they were 21 poins behind City who won the league but scored more goals than both Chelsea and Arsenal.
THey have never won the League, in fact, their highest placing was third in 1985/86 and their next highest was 5th in 1998/99.
They have won the FA Cup three times, the last time being in 1979/80.
Whatever the "West Ham Way" is I can only say that it does not breed much success.

Only Ron Greenwood knew the WHU way.
I think it was when they could string 2 passes together, on mud quagmire, when others went longer.

Although as England manager he seemed to get travel sickness when outside London, he was of course born in Burnley

File West Ham with Leeds. Both are media darling clubs who aren’t anywhere near as big as their fans or the media think they are.

Brooking, Devonshire, Bonds, Cottee and McAvennie. They had a decent team late 70’s early 80’s playing attacking football. Sadly for them they haven’t replicated that style and success of that time.
Winning a trophy under Moyes and they have managed to go backwards. Always the most deluded club in London and have a really horrible set of fans.

From memory I think Sam Allardyce talked about the West Ham Way in his book and that no one actually knew what the West Ham Way was.
