A real dilemma , we have succeeded in the championship, and that brings untold joy to thousands of fans, winning seeps through the supporters and the town, a definate feel good factor.
Seems natural to want the step up, but as we have seen most clubs end up as whipping boys for the giant monied clubs.
Doesnt look likely any changes are due to help the newly promoted teams, so we just have to hope and pray we can avoid weekly 5 goal hammerings.
No fun whatsoever watching that. Terrible for everyone concerned, especially younger fans , it saps all the fun out of going on the matches.
Catch 22 I suppose, but the pundits are having a field day by suggesting the likes of us and Leeds would be better off bringing in more gifted coaches.
The disrespect in these views is sickening.
When you think about the effort from managers and players throughout a gruelling season, and then achieving success, only to have it all downgraded because someone says we havent got the capabilities to stay up based on not having some mythical super coach at the helm.
Reality is the big money , the ones with it seem to survive year in, year out.
I'd like to see Pep fashioning an unbeatable squad on the cash the lower teams have available.
Its sad to see teams chop and change with contractual issues and players that earned success suddenly finding they are surplus to requirements.
This season with Scott Parker has been phenomenal, from the chaos of his first few days, to getting promoted . Maybe something miraculous occurs and we can keep our heads above water come August.
Fingers crossed for battle to stay up in the Prem.
