Parker quoted in Football World that he’s confident Josh and CJ will stay. Wonderful
If true

I'd be delighted if both stayed, its a very special group so you want to keep them together and see how they continue to grow next year.

They are both more or less guaranteed to be in every starting BFC 11. . rather than being a bench player for other teams.

He said in the latest press conference that talks are ongoing and have been for a while.
I know this is naive but, hey, I'm still jubilant after Monday: if we had CJ, Maxime and Bash in defence I just think we might have a chance. If we could build our base on these three lads it would be brilliant.

If these two sign I’d only be looking for a couple of additions in the summer. The most important being a CF.

totally agree.... This team have worked so well and many are so young they'll develop further.

Another possibility could be 3 centre halves, CJ, Steve and Bayer, with Bashir and 1 other as wing-backs.

Great if we can sign both players but there’s a chance we could still lose Trafford or Esteve (or even both). We would need to replace either/both with quality.
I think in addition we will need at least 2 quality strikers.
Do agree that there will not be anywhere near as many new players as the last 2 seasons and that is a good thing. If we are going to spend between £60m and £100m say (dependent on who we sell too) then I’d much prefer we go for 3 or 4 quality players rather than quantity. There’s no point having a massive squad if half of them are not good enough.

Would be a massive bonus to get them both signed up to new deals.
There's been question marks over Brownhill at PL level, but on the back of his best ever season it'd be foolish not to keep him around.
Together with the obligations already setup to get the loan players in, our summer business shouldn't be quite as chaotic as it's been in previous years!
This should hopefully allow us to clear out some of the fringe players like Delcroix, Churlinov etc.
It would be nice to concentrate our business on just 2 or 3 quality additions, real difference-makers.

The less change of key players the better. Keeping the 4 loanees and these two and return of injured players would reduce the last 3 years of turmoil and chaos . It would be a great bonus to have most of the team training all summer with a few proven scorers and keeper if Traff is off.
I see the u18s and u 21s are doing well, could we be returning to a talent factory we were in the 50s and 60s.

CJ loves playing with JT had JT loves playing with CJ. Where one goes the other may yet follow. Both are homegrown.

Could be the best bit of business we do this summer. If Anthony, Flemming, Humphreys and Edwards are all done deals we've got the core of the team remaining going into next season. That's a much better starting point than after promotion with Kompany.
