Matchday Parking Warning

Just warning anyone who parks down the far end of Morse St on a match day that I got confronted by a horrendous woman for parking outside her house on Monday. It’s at the far end on the left with a yellow car outside. The toothless sunken faced druggie told me her relation ( who made Vicky Pollard seem posh) couldn’t get out even though I left enough space to get a lorry out. I moved the car forward and she drove right up to my bumper to block me in. They then started swearing at me with a foul mouthed rant with the chavvy daughter taking pictures inside my car and of a minor. I tried to explain that renting a house off the council doesn’t mean you own the street outside of it or have full rights to it.

Sounds like it could be a budding romance…

Park there again  They sound like lovely people. Although there's nothing illegal about the chav taking photos of anyone/anything in a public place.

Maybe the renting a house off the council lecture got her a little vexed ?
Did you throw in anything about her being on benefits ?

So you didn't offer to take Mum and Daughter for a post match drink then 🤔

You don’t have these issues when you park in Barley…

I can understand why you would confront her but you need to be careful. She could do anything to damage your car while you’re on the game and unless there’s any evidence, like CCTV, you wouldn’t be able to prove it was her.

Based on a description of one side of the discussion you have decided they are ****? Talk about pre-judging.

The woman may hold down a decent job or even run a business. We don't know anything about her, yet you have heard enough to decide she is a waste of oxygen. As a long time exile from Burnley (40 years and counting) I can't even remember exactly where Morse St is or who may live there, but I certainly wouldn't write off anyone who lives on it until I knew at least something about them.

She might be working on a cure for cancer and regularly helping out at the food bank for all we know.

I remember parking my car in a public street about 15 mins walk from Old Trafford where the Clarets were playing. As soon as I got out of the car, 3 young teenagers came up and said " a fiver to make sure your car is ok for the match" . I didn't argue, just gave them a fiver and my car was fine when I got back to it!!
Probably saved myself a lot of aggro for bodywork repairs.

'...She could do anything to damage your car while you’re on the game...'

that's another unfounded assumption! :?

I think “ The toothless sunken faced druggie , who made Vicky Pollard look posh” gives a decent enough impression that said woman was unlikely to be net contributor to society ( other than her crack dealer )…
