Glad this has been brought up. Noticed this during the match. Great work ethic to say it was about a minute before half time at 3-0 up. What a team we have become.

The minimum requirement is maximum effort.

If there was another ten games this season we’d win it by 10+ points. What a good team we’ve become UTC

I have said that for a few weeks now we are not just a good side we have become a Very Good TEAM how they all play for one another for the whole game every game is a credit to SP and his team. On TalkSport when analysing the Millwall game he predicted a Millwall win because Burnley will be on the beach well if today’s result is being on the beach then god knows what we could do when we come off the beach UTC

Brilliant. What’s the collective noun for a group of backtracking defenders? A camaraderie?

I think we all had a great view from behind the Burnley goal first half. QPR forward with the breakaway, challenged by Conor Roberts (without checking, but it's always Roberts who stays back at corners to cover a breakaway). Suddenly, there's a swarm of black shirts around the QPR player, no other QPR players near him to help out. Other Burnley players arriving in the middle of the penalty area as additional cover. That's some defensive covering.

Surprised we conceded 8 with that effort

The Burnley swarm.
Fantastic to see at the time, and it just gets better and better. Even my partner,
who happened to glance up at the TV, said "where have they all come from all of
a sudden ?"

Swarm is certainly the right description. I sent the clip to a mate and his reply was “like bees to a honey pot”

I think the determination not to concede was evident throughout, even when we were playing some lovely, expansive football.

As I've said elsewhere, how many of those players would have bust a gut to get back under VK?

Just before the end of the clip all our outfield players were back with 3 QPR players in the frozen frame. Sums us up. Need to keep that clip for posterity. PHENOMENAL

Absolutely this. The current team, playing as they did yesterday would have beaten some prem teams.
Interesting to look at West Ham for example and their totally inept defending of their 2-1 lead and also how Brighton defended the West Ham goals when Bowen was in acres at one point of a move. You have to laugh at Fulkrug’s moaning comments and coming on as a sub at half time and then being nowhere near closing down properly at the end. I reckon we beat both those teams with yesterday’s performance.

I thought at the time it was a fantastic sight to see all the players running back to protect our goal and maintain the prospect of Trafford getting a record.
But my point is at the start of the season with whatever our squad looks like I would sit them down and play the recording of that match from the start. Then at the point of them all running back I would stop it and tell them all,
sweat on the shirt and this type of commitment is the minimum requirement for this team.

Anyone else find this clip really funny , and at the sane time absolutely brilliant ? I could watch it on repeat ….there’s something Pythonesque about the lone QPR forward suddenly surrounded by a hungry swarm of sprinting Clarets.
