Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Probably too late but they are doing everything to make sure it goes to the wire, from a period of looking nailed on mid table to a full on tilt at relegation.
Currently two down at home to Plymouth.
Still remember their superior smugness not so long ago.

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Away to Bristol city next week if they lose that and Luton win and hull draw they are down. Luton away at wba and hull at portsmouth
Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Some bad results for them today too. It could easily go wrong for knob end next weekend
Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
WBA nowt to play for
Luton finding results
Pompey nowt to play for
Hull capable of getting a point
Bristol need to beat PNE
Could be the perfect weekend

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Preston fans were all saying on BBC, before they played the FA cup quarter final against Aston Villa, that their seasons were dull, never near the plsy-offs and always clear of relegation. They said it was boring. Well just goes to show that you never know who's listening, because it's certainly not boring now.
Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Please let them get relegated. I honestly. Dislike them more than Blackburn.
Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Hilarious if they go down! Especially after beating us in the Cup and them thinking their season was a success!!

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
highly unlikely everything will go against them next week results wise.
but, if ever a club was sleepwalking it's way to relegation it's this Preston. Unbelievable if they go down.

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Hull actually have a reasonable away record this season; they’re 8th in the away league table(24th in the home).
They could well get a result at Pompey who are now absolutely safe.
I would likely do a bit of a sex wee if we snatched the Championship, Rovers missed out on 6th place, and PNE slipped to relegation on the last day.

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Hmmmmmm. Not too sure about that ………… I watched them on tv yesterday, they are awful. I can’t see anything other than a Bristol home win. I can see Hull winning at Pompey, ( apparently better away than at home ), or maybe getting a point, in which case they are likely to go down on GD if Luton get a point at WBA, again not too unlikely.depechedingle wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 10:15 amhighly unlikely everything will go against them next week results wise.

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Ideal scenario
Bristol C draw at Leeds (therefore needing to get something on the last day)
We beat Millwall securing 100 points and the title
Rovers blow it against the Blades
Bristol City need something against Preston and beat them.
Hull and Luton draw
PNE go down on goal difference
Also by my calculations, Millwall HAVE to win to get in the playoffs due to Cov and Boro playing each other, so next week is going to be a very open game I think.

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
If Derby lose 4 - 0 Preston lose 1 - 0 Luton and Hull both win or draw, Preston and Derby would be in the final relegation spot on the same points with the same goal difference .... what happens then?

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Can we not just relegated them both?
Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Still find it baffling we've played 270+ minutes against that lot this season & not managed a goal.

Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
Well we squandered a few bloody great chances, had a penalty denied and for most of those 270 minutes they played well behind the ball
Re: Preston and the late relegation push!!!
If Lyle Foster knew where the net was we’d have stuck a couple past the nob enders for sure. We created enough that day.

No matter what happens, PNE deserve credit for giving relegation a proper go. Taken some performances to make a run at it.

Correct. They prepped that pitch for their ale house, rough up tactics against us. The pitch was diabolical. They’ve since sorted it out, it was like Wembley yesterday, but they still lost.
