Sadly, and it is rather defeatist, there’s more than a high likelihood that he won’t be here this time next season.
Just look at two of the three promoted teams last year with their itchy trigger fingers even though they’ve always been on a hiding to nothing.

I’m not sure our owners are like that, we held onto Kompany even though it was clear we were going down at Christmas. I think they’re quite loyal. Although it could of course be a case of ‘once bitten, twice shy’ and if we’re seriously struggling by Christmas this time round they decide to take a different approach.
