I've turned the sound down on the Leeds game as I have heard enough of the commentary team. Three times one of them has stated that Leeds are the best side in the Championship. Sorry for my ignorance but how does that work out? If they win tonight they are above us on goal difference only, haven't beaten us this season, but they are 32 games unbeaten I suppose.......oh wait that's 'Little Old Burnley' that haven't lost for 32 games not 'Dirty Leeds' , my silly mistake.

If Leeds finish top then technically they are the best team in the Championship. Not really sure what’s controversial about that statement.

They're certainly a very good side. Absolutely all over Bristol City at the moment. Making them look more like a League 2 side rather than one vying for a play off place.
With respect to consistently good performances over a season I wouldn't disagree with the viewpoint. But they didn't have to build a completely new squad at the beginning of the season in the manner we had to.

I was watching a Sheffield United game recently with Hinchcliffe on commentary. Cooper made a save, a good save to be fair, and Hinchcliffe told us that no other goalkeeper in the Championship could have saved it.
I was relieved last Monday when he was on the Leeds match coverage. It meant he didn’t get our game.

Leeds started brightly but defensive error gave them the goal. Bristol are not at the level I expected. No doubt us and Leeds are way ahead of the rest of the league. Bristol only have 8 subs!!

Not a one off game or a two legged affair, not even a mini tournament, but a 46 game season in all weather conditions. If you are top when it's concluded, you are the best team in the league, conversely you're the worst if bottom. You may not want it to be LU and neither do I, but if it is, they deserve it.

When TAA scored for Liverpool the other week one of the co commentators said “ with the ball at his feet there is no one in the PL who is better”.

Said it on another thread last night, but the form of the sides currently occupying the four play off positions is pretty poor. If someone can sneak in on Saturday they are likely to go in with a lot more confidence and than the current incumbents.

It was the game against Leeds at Bramall Lane Tony. I text Transpennine at the time saying that I felt nauseous at the line. Hinchcliffe is just literally a cliché. I can't stand him when he is on with Leeds, he absolutely loves them.
Did Cooper make TOTY?

Funnily enough, a number of Leeds fans I know have commented in the past on how biased Hinchcliffe is against Leeds and how they can’t stand him.
What’s more likely is that they all love Leeds, and we all hate Leeds, and we only want to hear Hinchcliffe say what we want to hear.

That second was absolutely crap from Bristol. Had a chance of a counter, decided to pass it around for a bit, underhit a switch and lost the ball. As soon as they played that pass it was obvious Leeds would tear them apart. Should’ve taken the counter and stayed in shape.
Hope Parker is recording this and shows the lads how not to play against superior opposition!

When two teams finish on the same points the championship should be decided with a play off.

To be fair Leeds are a very good attacking side and the fact that Bristol have not been able to lay a glove on them , shows that they and us are a class apart in this division. 100 pts potentially for both clubs is a massive achievement.. they sold their best 3 players last year and replaced well. We were gutted 2 games into the league and Scottie did an amazing job building a title challenging team .

Agreed but they were papping on about how good Leeds were before they'd played 5 minutes, and yes if they finish top then good on them. I just think Hinchcliffe panders up to the Leeds **** as if they are world-beaters andcthey are far from that Riley bobs.

I thought it was like us on Saturday Peter. It just had a feeling that now the pressure was off on we were promoted that we would play with freedom and that is exactly what happened. Classy and ruthless, hitting the net 8 times.

If Wilder can’t navigate a pretty poor play-off field with his expensively assembled squad, you’d imagine he might not be there next season.

From BBC match text
Tom, Arsenal fan: Leeds are probably the flair team, but just look at Burnley's stats. Second-highest scorers but only 15 goals conceded in a fearlessly competitive league, as the fact that all of the teams in the playoff positions have lost 10+ games suggests. Phenomenal.

The record for Bristol City playing bottom half teams at Ashton Gate is W7 D4 L0 and their prospects of beating Preston are far brighter than they were of winning at Elland Road.
