With Flemming unavailable and Foster still possibly injured, is it Bashley time?

Barnes. Last minute goal to win us the league. It’s written in the stars

Personally I'd go with Hanibal and Edwards playing off each other with Anthony and Koleosho farting about on the flanks, Koleosho has to play right though otherwise we might as well give my dog a run out.

Hopefully we can get 45 mins each from Barnes and Foster but maybe SP might spring a surprise and go with somebody like Sarmiento or Hannibal !

If he starts, he won't be still on the pitch in the last minute

Has anyone seen Jaydon Banel play?

If so, would he be worth a go at some point on Saturday?

If there's anything in the game plan that involves the ball leaving the deck then it should be Barnes.
If we expect to be playing mainly on the counter (I don't) then it should be Foster if fit.
Short passing free flowing football, then there's a few possibilities...Koleo/Edwards/Redmond.

So basically anyone's guess.....mine's Foster.

How long do you honestly think Barnes will last at this level?
I'm not sure he can start

I can't see Foster being fit to start either

I think Anthony could do a job. But that means he isn't playing in a position he's become very effective in

Maybe playing Brownhill and Hannibal very advanced with Laurent and Cullen sitting would work

No doubt SP has a plan and they've been working on it all week

Millwall have a lot of big lads, we can't afford to lose any of ours. If we can get 45 out of Foster and 45 out of Barnes then he might do that. If he can't and we need someone to be a nuisance he could put Hanniball up top and play Laurent to combat their height on set pieces.

I think Anthony has played a few times down the Centre for Bournemouth, and maybe that's why on his Wikipedia page it gives his position(s) as Left Winger, Forward

Or counter their big lads with someone of lesser stature but fleet footed like a Sarmiento who could tie them in knots or induce penalties.

Many ways to skin a cat!

Barnes Starts and comes off at like 65 minutes to a standing ovation after scoring a left, right - nut… hat trick…

Anthony, for me. Maybe Barnes for the last 15 or so, depending on the score.

Too many sentimentals on here.

At least if whatever we try goes badly wrong....

We are still getting promoted! :)

So not too much pressure.

Just skimmed through the ratings for the Southampton game where Barnes played 90 minutes and got one rating below 6 and some as high as 9.

Not sure why it's taken for a given that once a player reaches a certain numerical age they can no longer play a football match but it's pretty daft imo.

Southampton were desperate to lose that game.

Firstly, Laurant has to start unless Barnes does, to help combat Cooper etc. at set pieces. If SP thinks he can get 45 minutes out of Foster without aggravating his injury, then I'd start Ash. When Ash goes off, Laurant has to come on immediately.

If Foster is ruled out, I'd save Barnes until the second half and start Anthony at.

It’s an area we need a serious upgrade on in the summer. As much as we all love Barnes he’s had his day and Foster needs shipped out.

He came on at Preston but I’m not sure he even touched the ball.

People talking about Barnes like he's 60 or something.

He managed to play a full game at Southampton and we won!

Hopefully Foster will be OK.
If not maybe we play a possession based passing game where we don't need a target man as such, in which case Sarmiento may be OK.

I think foster will play, or at least start. Can rest and repair after this game. If he's anywhere near fit, he will play

Barnes to start. Off after 65-70 for Redmond, or put Anthony up top.

Unlikely to be me.

My guess, Edwards for 70min then enter Sir Ashley of Barnes to win the title.

would be wonderful to see a Barnes masterclass on the last day. He still epitomises Burnley for many fans in recent times.
His exploits in a claret shirt over past seasons make being a fan worthwhile.
Definitely cemented his place in our folklore.
