Josh Brownhill mad stat

Josh has scored two more goals than we've conceded all season in the league.
Can't really wrap my head around that one !

Incredible stat-as good as Sheff Utd conceding more goals in 7 days than we had all season at that stageVegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 6:14 pmJosh has scored two more goals than we've conceded all season in the league.

For me Brownhill is the "Frank Lampard " of the Championship. He has developed the art of being in the right place at the right timeClaret53 wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 9:15 amThat stat is truly extraordinary and shows what an exceptional performance this season has been. Records broken. Fantastic team spirit.
And this all arose out of the ashes of a disastrous previous season and a huge turnover of players.
To create such an efficient football machine out of the chaos has been an achievement any manager would be rightly proud of and SP thoroughly deserved his Manger of the Year award.
And Josh Brownhill proved what a good player he is. Arriving in the right place at the right time is a valuable skill and he’s shown it time and time again. Let’s hope he signs quickly.
I'd have a guess that SP has had a hand in that, given him a bit of a free role, and not been as rigid as dyche or kompany, although I'm not sure he was one of kompanys faves, hence why we had the likes of amdouni and Berge in the ranks. Be interesting to see Brownhill play the same or similar role next season should he still be here.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 9:43 amFor me Brownhill is the "Frank Lampard " of the Championship. Perhaps the reason why he's on a few other Premier league teams list, that they've seen he's potential in that position.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 9:24 am24 goals + assists from him is astonishing. He's a hell of a midfield player at Championship level. He was great in 22/23, but he's taken himself up another couple of gears this season.
If he stays, I hope he's given a shot playing behind a striker and in front of two other midfielders, which is undoubtedly his best position. He's never been played there in a Premier League game.
Pretty sure he played there against Newcastle when we lost 4-0 at home last time.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 9:24 am24 goals + assists from him is astonishing. Probably a few others too! Incredible season all round.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 8:50 pmMuch credit goes to Scott Parker. I doubt that either VK or SD would have given him that sort of free/attacking role.
In reality he's better going forward than he is as a defender, SP has got the very best out of him.
