A Turf Moor anthem needed- ideas?

Turf needs an anthem, it may need to be choreography for a season to get people on to it. So many grounds have one and it pumps the atmosphere up and we lack it
Is there another well know song that can have lyrics adjusted to fit the team and be original and rousing?
Any ideas for a Burnley one? Can a song actually be made from the current Natasha Bedingfield anthem?
Some examples below and there is a mix of age of the base tune/origin.
Sheffield utd - greasy chip butty
Leeds- marching on
City- Blue moon
Liverpool - Never Walk Alone
Rangers- Penny Arcade/follow
Celtic- various
Hibs- Sunshine on Leith
Welsh national- various
It might be slightly cringe initially but could be amazing in time. All the above had to start somewhere

I've always thought the theme from Thunderbirds would be a great walk-out song.
No lyrics but everyone could join in with the "der der-der-der, der-der-der der der der-der-der der der ..."

I think this cannot be forced onto supporters. It was tried many years back with the club trying to get everyone to sing the Proclaimers song 'I'm gonna be (500 miles) and it went down like a lead balloon.

Not being funny, but has someone activated some kind of "Leeds nerd bot alert system" since yesterday? Because every (and I mean every) post from Burnley and or about Burnley on Twitter in the past day has had the first reply from a supposed Leeds account with some kind of childish comment.
Maybe its not bots and you lot have a lot more w*nker fans than I thought.

You're going down, or even we're going down might have worked, but I'm going down makes no sense

In fact…… I registered to see what Burnley fans were saying as we are both going up to the hellzone, having both done well here.
I bothered to register because I thought it would be interesting to hear the views of fellow sufferers next season.
I’ll make the occasional comment on your threads because I can, and sometimes I feel like it. Hope that’s ok.

I can’t remember us ever playing the Wild Rover on the tannoy, any older fans know if we have? It is our only unique anthem, being realistic.

I'm sure we played a rock version of it in the 00s. It wasn't very good though.

There was a thread on this t’other week. Never heard over the tannoy to my knowledge.
As I remember it first heard in the 72-73 season as Wild Rover. Later that season it evolved into Blackburn Rovers. I can’t put a date to it’s current version.
We can’t use it now as our neighbours come out to it.

Typical of Blackburn though walking out to a song who's lyrics tell you not to be a Rover, and that anyone who has any sense isn't a Rover.

Something that would be unique in sporting anthem terms would be putting together some lyrics to the tune of the local folk song Old Pendle.

It's been discussed and suggested before, but Dirty Old Town, with our lyrics would be perfect. I'm still surprised and disappointed that it hasn't taken off. I know Utd of Manxhester use it, but who outside us knows. Back in the 60s/70s, every club sang YNWA.

It's an awful song for starters
And how the hell do you sing along to it?
Anthems need melody, and need to be slower, with a part that grows to a peak

Early 2000s and bloody awful - leave it to them down the road, they don't understand seemingly why it was sung in the first place.

Agree with this.
Real good chanting song, local band, lyrics shout out for our experience as Burnley fans.
Switch “******* the night away” for “love to see Burnley play” or “Watching the Burnley play” etc

I love the montage on the screens to this song and I think that IS our thing before kick off, it doesn’t need to be as the players walk out , just timed so that the nostalgia and history is there for us to reminisce before kick off, then let the crowd simmer and create the atmosphere from their.

I'm guessing, but folk might be suggesting tunes from their favourite songs/artists.

I've been thinking about this more than I probably should but its given me the opportunity to go through parts of my music collection I haven't listened to in a while.
Important factors to consider:
What emotion are we trying to create? Do we want people to be happy, intimidating to the opposition, feel a sense of togetherness, poignant? The answer to this will determine what song we could choose.
Beats per minute will have a huge impact. Some great dance/rave stuff out there for example Take me into insanity by Oceanic (For those of a certain age who remember a particular era of Angels).
Some songs have lyrics often sung too quickly for a crowd. For example, Welcome to the jungle by Guns n Roses would really set a hostile atmosphere for a visiting team but that first verse is very, very quick.
Many songs have lyrics that a large % of the crowd won't know which leads to the question of whether to change the lyrics for our purposes. For example Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival, has a lyric of "red, white, and blue" which could easily be changed to "claret and blue" (many other examples of songs with red, white, and blue in them.
Aside from the possibilities above here are some songs I think may work (not necessarily representative of my obscure music tastes). Some would require lyric changes.
Faster songs:
Bad Reputation - Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. High tempo, angry.
Club Foot - Kasabian. Quick verses but good chorus melody for a crowd.
Poker Face - Lady Gaga. Persistent beat. Good chorus melody.
Fell in love with a girl - White Stripes. Very fast but a couple of minor lyric changes and I can hear it.
Twist and shout - The Beatles. One everyone knows. Could be cool having the whole crowd twisting.
I fought the law- The Clash. I've seen whole pubs in Australia going crazy to this.
Slower:
Atmosphere - Joy Division. Slow, poignant.
Teardrop - Massive Attack.
.

Since NNN is a Rovers song (making it an absolute no) I think this is the only viable option if all those mentioned on here.
Plucking some other song with absolutely no ties to the club from thin air is not going to make it a club anthem.
Don’t feel the Times Like These lyrics would work, but well written lyrics about Burnley FC to this tune could work really well as an anthem.

Works well for the montage stuff but it’s not a ‘club anthem’ type song at all, for me.

Who decided NNN is a Rovers song? We've been singing it from the early 70s (as far as I go back) so not sure how any one knows. It seems unlikely a song containing the word Rover would somehow be turned into Burnley B*stards out of the blue.
I mean which seems more likely Rovers fans sitting on a bar changing 'Till I play the wild Rover' to 'Till we play Burnley B*stards no never no more' or Burnley fans changing it to 'Till we play Blackburn Rovers no never no more'.
I mean what variant of 'Till I play the Wild Rover no never no more' would fit a Blackburn song. It makes no sense.
Anymore than changing a song about two cathedrals and a statue outside John Lewis' in Liverpool would originate as a Burnley song.

Personally, I would go for Italian Opera. If only to see if the CFS can mangle Italian as badly as English. Perhaps the Old Paulo Di Canio song but sung in Italian. Or maybe the tune sung to lyrics in Cantonese. Just as suggestion. I can do it and I went to Barden so I don't see why others couldn't....
La donna è mobile
Qual piuma al vento
Muta d'accento
E di pensiero
Sempre un amabile
Leggiadro viso
In pianto o in riso
È mensognero
La donna è mobile
Qual piuma al vento
Muta d'accento
E di pensier
E di pensier
