Keep the Faith Episode *

Just watched the episode. I presume others have seen an interesting conversation taking place at half time during the Sheffield game. 7min 34 sec into the video.

Big Al talking to Big Mike.

Also it was the first time I have ever seen Big Al show the same emotion that we show as fans when we score.

Like most I didn't like the take over method but he certainly wears his heart on his sleeve like us all.

It would be nice if during one of the keep the faith episodes Scott Parker and Big Mike could sit down and not tell us what the problem as been but show us that he his a member of the team.

Haven't seen him on any of the parade videos so I'm presuming he didn't show up, I'd be very surprised if he ever turned out for us again.

Seems strange to have included MT in the episode if relations aren't well between him and the club.

Such a strange situation.

If he wasn’t at the parade events it’s possibly because of the idiots who booed him after the Millwall game.

That’s why we could do with a little more communication don’t want to know what’s wrong just want to know he his ready to get sweat on the shirt and he’s part of the TEAM

Yep. I watched the video and my main takeaway about the coverage of the finale of our record breaking season was the 3 seconds Tresor appeared on screen.

In your heeeaaddd, in your heeeaaaadd
Mike Tresor, Mike Tresor….

It's just a sad situation. For the club, we've spent a lot of money on him and for him personally.

It seems like the club trying to keep him feeling involved as part of the club. We will never know what happens behind the scenes but having seen how Scott Parker conducts himself, I imagine he hs spent lots of time having private conversations with MT this season to try and provide support to him whilst he's going through what mist be a tough time.

Not many clubs would still have him around so it's probably testament to both Parker and probably Pace that he's still there as part of the group at times.

Don’t comment on here anymore due to have toxic some topics get, however just thought I would post regarding Tresor.

A colleague of mine was at the QPR game and talking to Matt Williams after the game over a pint.

Tresor wanted to leave in the summer.

He did have a serious illness which everyone thought he was over hence him being involved at reading but it was clear after the reading game that he wasn’t right at all.

Tresors decision to not go public with the illness, would rather fans boo him than alert clubs and agents if the illness, Williams said it’s not something that has to be disclosed on football medical records.

This could well be Matt Williams just trying to save Tresors face but just thought I would post what my colleague was told, all be it after a game in a pub in London

I think what is very clear about Scott Parker is that he demands work ethic, determination and togetherness.

Tresor obviously has bags of quality but I’ve not seen any of the above attributes.

Hopefully we can find a deal that works for all in summer but he’s basically not played for two years now so I think his agent will find that tough.

His best approach would be to be to get back in to training in pre-season and win Parker’s trust, however unlikely that may seem.

This makes sense in nearly every aspect. My only question mark is why he never played in the reserves before the Reading game. They would surely have discovered he wasn't right before he'd played in a first team game if he had done. It could have cost us in that game really.

Yeah the lack of U21s games prior to reading didn’t make sense to me, only thing I can think of was such a busy schedule in December and Jan maybe they thought a cup game against a league 1 side would be as beneficial as a u21s game

Not really buying that. These players are monitored through every aspect even during training. They would have known he wasn't okay and exactly how an illness had and was affecting him before he was put on the pitch for the Reading game. It's not likely they just brought him in and chucked him into a game to see how he got on.

That’s how I’ve seen it, not wanting to deter other clubs from signing him by announcing whatever illness he has or had.

Looks to me like it’ll be another out on loan until his contract is up.

I can't see any other reason for that except he didn't want to play in the reserves.
I wonder if they learnt from that hence his reserve appearance recently. We haven't seen him since so I wonder if the issue is still there.

So tell me, how much time do you spend with MT on a regular basis for you to say you've not seen any sign of him having any work ethic, determination or togetherness attributes?

And as for your last sentence, what makes you think Parker has no trust in MT and he is unlikely to win that trust? Scott Parker always talks very fondly of 'Mikey' and complimentary of his 'work ethic' in training when fit, he also appears to be popular with the squad (togetherness).

Also just on top of this. If true it sounds like Tresor is being a bit naive thinking clubs aren't going to investigate why he's missed over 12 months of football.

Spot on. Far too many know-****-alls slagging this fella off with not one notion of what he has been through.

I don’t spend any time with him. He’s been here two years though now, played less than 600 minutes and hasn’t been fancied by either Kompany or Parker.

I don’t see this fondness Parker has for him at all. He’s generally not answered any questions on him all season, often avoiding discussing him when asked about injuries, and when he has spoken about him it’s been nothing but the polite and professional responses you’d expect from him. The only club response has been Pace where he’s said he was fit to play and told a reliable poster that he can’t be sure he wants to play for us.

Ditto the players. I’m on Instagram and to my knowledge he’s posted no congratulations to the other players or club for promotion. He never comments on other players posts. He didn’t attend the parade (may not have been invited). At the trophy lift he was pretty much on his own. On the various celebration footage he’s nowhere to be seen. He doesn’t strike me as a guy the players all love and one of the team, anyway.

The overwhelming likelihood here is that he never wanted to come here (missed flight) and wanted out in the summer (mardy social media posts). There may well have been other issues too but he and the club have had ample time to explain them and have chosen not too. That’s there prerogative, but equally us as fans are therefore equally entitled to form opinions on the increasing evidence staring us in the face.

All that said, everyone loves a turnaround story so I’ll be delighted if he ends up turning it around and becoming a big player for us, but as I say, having hardly played a game in two years under different managers you have to think the chances of that are slim.

As a club we have a track record of some superb signings, but since the VK era some absolute dross. Would like to think future ones, vetted by Parker will be good fits for our club

We’ve always signed dross every now and then, pretty much like every club in existence.
