Watched this recently and thought it was a very good honest interpretation of modern warfare in built up areas. It’s basically 2006 in Iraq following the traumatic experience of a squad of Navy Seals and if you like war films it’s a good watch. True story too.

It had a little stereotypical US hero vibe when the rescue party arrived but otherwise a really good film.

Sounds up my street.

Saw the poster last week. Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the soldiers who fought there went through hell.

One of the strongest films about Iraq is "The Hurt Locker" (2008) about bomb disposal units. It's been criticised by former bomb disposal experts but it remains highly watchable.

I would also recommend The HBO Series Generation kill
Largely based on true events About a squad of American Marines in the invasion of iraq And shows how inept the Higher ups and people in charge of things really are !
