That is correct, however they can choose when to release the retained list.

Must be registered with the league no later than 14 days after the final game. Most clubs have also released them to the public too.

We can't retain CJ and Brownhill as they are out of contract in a few weeks (end of June I think).
We can only agree new contracts. If we do that, they will be new signings.

I thought Obafemi was out of contract this summer. Clearly not.

If discussions are still ongoing then it’s clearly not a done deal with Egan-Riley, here’s hoping.

Really, really hope Brownie has chosen to stay - he’s come on leaps and bounds with us in the last year and whilst it’s a huge step up for him he has experience, he gets the club and if the worst should happen he is one of the best in this division. He’s the right type, the skipper. It would be a terrible loss, in my opinion.

Aye, but get's to a point where you need them to find their level if they aren't going to push for a Senior squad place at Burnley.

I'd be surprised if they dont find a home in the Football League at some level.

To be fair, I wouldn't mind if we kept none. Ekdal maybe as a 4th or 5th option. Amdouni has talent, but I just can't see how he can fit in Parker's team.

Lewis Richardson leaving. Shame he has had such a bad time with injuries as he looked to be one that might have had a chance when he was young.
