Our partner club Dundee have sacked manager Tony Docherty because the results of the team have not met the standards expected by the club.

It'll be interesting to see if the next manager has any links to Burnley.

Mike Duff with assistant Charlie Adam could work

Charlie Adam and Ross Wallace would be my guess

I think it was Charlie Adam who set up the first loan to Dundee a couple of years ago

Big decision, clearly they’re aiming higher now

I've taken an interest in Dundee this season.
Very inconsistent, which I guess is a good reason to look for a better manager.

Scott Parker could give him a bell for a full and frank assessment of Adewumi.

I'd hope we get regular progress reports on all our loaned out players.

Part of the role Jenkins fulfills

Hopefully we will have players assessed by us, but if we don't see all his games or see him training etc, we are relying on a 'goodwill report' to assess his personal development. A manager who has left a club might be slightly more honest in his full assessment and character report.

As I said, it’s part of the role Paul Jenkins fulfills. I don’t think we have a separate loans manager now.

I’m not sure if I understand the term ‘goodwill report’ properly, but I remember reading or hearing somewhere a while ago that we expect a weekly report on all loanees with training and game performance analysis + the stats data clubs capture.

I think there’s an assumption amongst some fans that when players are loaned out they’re forgotten about, but I think they are monitored very carefully and the club keep in touch.

The recent podcast from Paul Jenkins was very informative and as Tony has said, this element is very much part of his remit.

Wasn't that the post held by Charlie Adam? I don't think we replaced him as such.

I was thinking that but I’m not too sure because he was supporting Andy Farrell with the under21s. Definitely before him, Nicky Law did it and then Steve Stone after he’d got himself on the naughty step.

Adam did do the Loans monitoring job for a while. Remember him discussing it on a radio interview a while back.

Underwhelmingly Appointed Steven Pressley. Gone down with fanbase like a fat kid on a seesaw

They have also appointed David Longwell as Technical Manager - he was the guy who was forced out at Burnley because of his WhatsApp skills.

It’ll be good to find out about the Dundee players in a couple of months.
