Good news.

I’m assuming they are just spreading out of these loan to permanent deals to fill a bit of dead air time.

Looks like it - the two this week and the two more to come have all been confirmed previously.

Had a cracking second part of the season. He's not an extrovert - at least he doesn't seem to be - and perhaps lacks self-confidence but grew as the season went on. Works for 90 minutes and I'm delighted he's now one of our lads and not just on loan.

What's the fee likely to be?

Thought he was great for us last season. Love his comments. Super positive

A bit of clickbait that seems preprogrammed to drop at a certain date and time (many club tweets often drop at 9:00, 11:00, 15:00 or 18:00).

No harm in it though and I don’t recall the length of contract being disclosed previously. Will be interesting when they get around to Edwards how long that is, because he is a bit older.

Who knows what the fee is but it was suggested to be around £7million
If so that these days is a steal

His pressing and work rate is phenomenal (on a par with Tella), and we really missed that element last season.

£7M is an absolute steal.

This is because the press will have been informed of the signing beforehand, provided with quotes and images and then the news can be fully released across all media outlets at the same time to maximise exposure.

A really likeable character. Love the interactions with the Longside. Proper worker with a great deal of skill. Pleased he is signing and think he will get loads of support next year.

Good signing similar to Tella in some ways, just hope Brownhill and Riley sign as it's dragging on to long ...

Seemed to grow in confidence as the season went on.

Excited to see how he copes with the step-up next season!

Great signing for good money.

He was mostly excellent last season.

I thought he was below average and ineffective for the first twenty games of the season, but he certainly improved in the second half of the season when he played more permanently on the left. I’m happy to see him sign for us but I do worry that if our front attacking three next season are Edwards, Flemming and Anthony, we won’t be strong enough up front to trouble many of the powerful, athletic PL defences. It’s going to be interesting to see who we bring in to strengthen this area in the coming weeks.

Reported as £8million obligation on promotion.

However, it was also reported to be £10million option if we failed to be promoted which makes little sense unless there was bonuses built into the loan on promotion to make up that difference.

So my reading of it is between the loan and the purchase he's costing us around £10m.

So basically spending same on him as we spent on Odobert last time we were promoted.

Very happy he is staying. Has the work rate and attitude to succeed here long term (already last season obviously).

I liked the video put out recently of the players rating each other. When Anthony was asked who had the best first touch, he said "definitely me". Love that self-confidence and he's absolutely right, too!

Weird. I would have guessed Anthony to be older than Edwards. I thought he was more like 27/28. So an even better signing than I though

Good news and glad to have him on board.

There's a bit of the Junior Stanislas about him. He's certainly been very, very effective since Edwards broke into the side.

Please he's staying now, I totally wrote him off after Millwall away. Had an absolute shocker there, but much like the team itself, we were never as bad again. Worth keeping just so we can admire his first touch.

Good, his performances moved up a gear in the second half of the season - with the arrival of Edwards - and he deserves to be a part of our PL team.

Brilliant permanent signing is Anthony.
I thought he was our most influential player this season and with better players around him next season he will become more important to the team.

I wasn’t a fan until Edwards signed but he was excellent second half of the season. He’s changed my opinion on him and I’m glad he’s staying.

Totally agree and we are going to need the defensive part of his game in the PL. The guy is a grafter and can produce real moments

Would be nice to have Edwards and Flemming confirmed. Does anyone have any any news?

They will get confirmed separately to fill the gap of no news/ media content coming from the club whilst the players are away.

They were confirmed when the retained list was released.

Jaidon Anthony, Marcus Edwards, Bashir Humphreys and Zian Flemming will all join the Club on a permanent basis this summer following their season-long loan spells at Turf Moor.

Comments of the AFC Bournemouth tweet about this sale from their fans have been 100% positive, which is a really good sign. He was well liked there (and I suspect is improving beyond their recollections given he has been gone 2 years).

Maybe the loan fee was built into the purchase fee.

He obviously has an excellent relationship with SP and is another example of what a good man manager our manager is.
Looking forward to seeing him perform next season.
