recently did a train trip from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, which was super, huge difference from pancake flat Houston

The train journey was excellent, three different levels in each carriage to sit, managed to get in the top level, watching the hills and mountains appear, even those which were snowcapped was lovely. It was 111F in Houston, a heatwave for that full week away, and we were at 65F high, with low 40's and high 30'sF during our break, most enjoyable

Thats the "Nature Discovery Centre" between Thatcham and Newbury. Used it for the start of a nice walk around the Kennet River area and a look at the old Greenham Common airbase. Quite a few Egyptian Geese there too, I should've included in the photo of those, not sure how common they are in northern England, first time I've never seen them.
