Two Belgians hid in the toilets at the Allianz Arena last week for over a day so they could watch the Champions League final. Just seen the following on the BBC.

Two Belgian men have claimed they hid in a toilet at Munich's Allianz Arena for 27 hours in order to watch last weekend's Champions League final for free.

Neal Remmerie and Senne Haverbeke told Belgian broadcaster VRT News they managed to get into the ground the day before the match then emerged to watch Paris St-Germain's 5-0 win over Inter Milan.

The pair uploaded a video, external on the social media platform TikTok which showed them sticking a homemade 'out of order' sign on two toilet cubicle doors before they waited in silence for more than a day as stadium staff used the facility.

"We had a backpack with snacks and we played around on our phones to kill time," Remmerie said.

"The lights were on all the time and the sitting position was uncomfortable, so sleeping was almost impossible. That made it physically and mentally difficult."

As soon as the duo heard fans using the toilets on matchday they emerged from the hiding place and made it past another ticket check before taking a seat in a stand.

"We looked carefully at which security guard was paying the least attention. While on the phone and with food in our hands, we just walked on, and suddenly we were inside," Remmerie added.

"PSG won 5-0 and we were also in the supporters' section of the winning team. It was the most beautiful football match we have ever seen."

And I’ve sat on it several times before a match. :)

Christ, you deserved more than a match ticket for that job!

Can’t remember who game was against but I seem to think it was a cup tie. Clean the bogs was maybe an exaggeration. We had to spray them with hot water to unfreeze them. Game could not be played without toilets available. Club asked for volunteers. I was stupid enough to be one of!!

This was a very creative stunt.I met a guy who had climbed over the old Wembley to watch Everton v WBA FA cup final. He has torn clothes and cut hands off the barbed wire .He was an Evertonian and said he'd not come all the way to Wembley and not get in

Gonna be the guy who's not fun at parties here, but this is so fake so I'm calling BS on this one. I saw the video and it'd be really easy to fake the time-lapse of them waiting hours in the toilets for the next day to come around. Not only that, but they stroll out to empty seats and sit down despite the game being sold out.

Also, what kind of arena hosts the biggest match in club football, sees two "out of order" signs on bathroom stalls and doesn't think "We should fix those before 75,000 people come here tomorrow"?

This is just "We got tickets to the Champion's League final, how can we get more clout online by making up some nonsense?" from a couple of guys hoping to go viral. Which I guess they did, so congrats to them?

I agree. Global event - two toilet cubicles closed for a couple of days, and nobody involved at high-level stadium security thought about checking them for explosives, etc.

Freedom of Turf Moor would be a more appropriate reward!

That was probably the damage from his jailbreak.

There were some creative blags for the Ewood game when we won the league along this line.

This might be an urban myth, but I'm sure this story was told about Scottish fans turning up at the Friday night greyhound meetings at Wembley, before the England v Scotland Home International, and hiding in various places until the gates opened the following day ...

Exactly why it’s a lapse - they have 75k people there every week so they were just complacent and it’s probably totally normal to have a broken/blocked toilet.
