Back in Management with Rangers. Be interesting to see how he goes on with his attacking style of play, probably do okay in that league not unlike Postecoglou when at Celtic.

Reckon he'll be quite successful, I'm predicting a top 2 finish.

I'd argue his style is not 'attacking'. It's more possession for possession's sake.

Russell Martin at Rangers.
80% possession then lose 1-0 to St Mirren when they can’t defend a set piece. Not a popular choice apparently. Should be a good fun.

Personally I think he'll do a good job. Certainly better than the last 2 seasons.
The problem is the only yardstick is beating Celtic, and he could improve them loads, and still finish second.

Seems like one of those managers whose face just fits. Really do not see how his career warrants a big club wanting him, even a big club in a poor league. Must have a hell of an agent/patter

Sitting here quietly at McDonald's having a cup of coffee and couldn't help laughing out loud

Not sure about that. He has proved to be inflexible in his approach to playing boring possession football. I'm not convinced that the squad he will inherit will adapt well to this, and I'm not sure how much money he will have to bring in players who can play his way.
As another poster has suggested I can see his teams having problems breaking down the likes of St Mirren and then conceding goals.

his over confidence won't sit well with Glaswegians unless he hits the ground running then he'll be fine. Big job for him up against Brendan Rodgers.

I think this is more a case of the club getting some significant outside investment and they want a “brand” of football to attract new players and compete with Celtic, their wage bill isn’t much sort of celtics, just light years behind in recruitment.
Sort of move that fails more often than it succeeds really.
