Given how hard work a trip to Shrewsbury can be, I'll be opting for Huddersfield I think.

Ha ha - obviously not confirmed yet - but if it is a club from another country, it will have to be ratified by both our FA and theirs.

I could see us playing Bayern on the 9th.

How is Dave Burnley going to be in two places at once?

That’s it in terms of public games I think.

Looks as though there are no trains to Huddersfield that weekend.

Lovely evening at Shrewsbury back in 2022, but not sure I am up for it again. Might go to Stoke though.

Disappointed no games abroad this season though ! Was a great trip last year.

Can get the train as far as Brighouse then 15 minutes on a bus replacement. Not too bad

Bayern seem to be playing spurs in Munich on the 7th, so I'd be surprised if we are playing them on the 9th

We are also sending, Im guessing an under 21 team to Warrington Rylands again on Tuesday July 29th 7:30pm kick off

Disappointed that we don’t have a game abroad to go to, really enjoyed them in the past, unless they can squeeze one in while in Portugal

A helicopter between Shrewsbury and Huddersfield is technically feasible to keep Dave Burnley's streak alive. I'd be happy to contribute.

Was really hoping for another European away friendly after going to Genk via brussels and the cadiz friendly in Arcos via Seville. But the club have decided it isn't to be

Osh there is no streak to keep alive for DB as he didn't do Kiddy (Eustace was their manager that day) when we also played at Alfreton. I am sure he would welcome a contribution to a copter however so feel free.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Accy Clarets will be running coaches to Huddersfield and Stoke and I'll put threads up for them in a week or so.

Not sure how true this is or whether it comes off but had it mentioned to me today that it’s Lazio for the home friendly.

We only saw the Cadiz friendly by chance as we were on holiday nearby but it was good fun - if a touch hot. Each to their own of course, but I've never been interested in friendlies back home - without the competitive element, you realise after about 10 minutes you're basically just watching some men keep fit.

My wife and I are going for a few days in Shropshire to take in the Shrewsbury game. It doesn't sound like there will be many other Clarets there though.

I know what you mean by that, and in general I don't get too excited by friendlies. They're usually a glorified training ground match.
But, after going to Athens to watch Burnley in a European match, albeit qualifier, the thought of doing something similar is something Im desperate to do again.
The Genk friendly was the better of the two. Stayed in brussels for 3 nights. First full day it was the Belgian national holiday. Parades and military flyovers all day whilst drinking belgian beer and wearing burnley shirts was amazing.
The next day getting the train over to Genk. Beer for breakfast and drinking in the main square was brilliant.
I'd love to do another trip like it.
