Kyle Walker’s last ever game for England?

Surprised there isn’t a thread already.

I cant believe he's still getting a game. He's been throwing in defensive errors left right and centre for the last 2 years at least.

What's with Kane disputing the decision to blow for half time? What's he want, extend it until he loses the ball?

Walker got away with it for years due to his pace, now that’s gone he’s a bang average footballer

Yep, he was always getting himself out of trouble.

Now he's just in trouble.

Should be doing much better with all these world class players. Need a proper manager. Southgate out.

Not great from walker, but the biggest mistake for me was allowing him to get the cross in.

I bet Toney is delighted he flew half way across the globe - what do we learn from Kane playing ?

Whilst there really is no excuse for playing so lethargically, this really is the point of a year where I wouldn’t be reading too much into things. It was this stage of the season a few years ago when we lost 4-0 to Hungary and put in a few really poor performances.

That said, I can’t help but think Tuchel is going to be an alright failure with England and I think the FA may look back and regret tasking someone with such a singular and short term objective.

We learn that we’d be pretty screwed without him. Toney doesn’t deserve to play just because he lives quite a long way away.

I can see what you’re getting at…

Anyone who thinks the performance and result would be different under GS are fooling themselves.

Tuchel short term absolutely reeks. Anyone short term absolutely reeks. Typical FA

You can use this argument (validly) for over half the squad.

I bet toney couldnt believe he’d been selected to be fair…

What did we manage to win after that Hungary result?

If you mean what trophies did we win, then none. But I don’t understand the relevance of the question?

When a male ref has a shocker ….. which happens regularly ….. do you mention their gender?

England’s male goalscorer really killed a lot of our attacks prior to being subbed.

Defensively very poor for their 2nd. Sake just ambled back on a more recent attack by Senegal. All sleeping.

Minutes for Trafford?

It might well have been a similar outcome under Southgate, which is kind of the point....

Tuchel has a real opportunity to shake up England . This short contract means he has little to lose. If he doesn’t win a trophy he’s toast. He won’t win a trophy doing the same that GS did. It’s like a GS team on downers.

Trafford got called up and didn’t play. I don’t think getting a squad call up means you are entitled to play.

No, if you look above you’ll see I think it’s a crazy decision. It wasn’t the VAR who got it wrong though, it was the ref’s decision. I just don’t agree that Toney had some right to play just because he has travelled from Saudi.

That was a good goal. The ref was only given one angle. We get loads, very quickly, off TV and yet VAR seems to deliberately choose to fit what they want.
