I'm heading to The Lowry to see "Dear England "....theatrical interpretation of the Gareth Southgate's tenure as England Manager.
Just wondering if any Manchester based clarets have tips on accessing the Lowry from Castlefield Station and then catching trams to the Lowry....is Castlefield the best station to use?

Deansgate railway station then a tram up to Hurons reach.

Alternatively Salford crescent then the tram to Media City.

May depend on where you are coming from.

Castlefield is Deansgate/Castlefield isn’t it? If so, just get the tram from there straight to Media City.

Aye, assuming no station closures its just across the bridge to the metro stop from the train station

If only there were a great giant powerful free tool available for such needs... say, a giant map of the world, with every restaurant, bus time, train station, supermarket etc on it...

And if only there was a message board where people could ask for such advice, advice that is so often given.

I went last week (by Car £8 to park ) did have a meal at bella itallia (if you use the app pasta meals £5) then into the show pre ordered drinks for the intermission £5.5 for a bottle of beer . The show was really good and if you were a non football fan would still be a good show but you maybe would not get some of the football jokes

£5.50 for a bottle of beer, I’m obviously out of touch, someone told me the other day what they paid for a packet of 20
cigarettes, I nearly fell through the floor.

And thankyou everyone for tips/advice re transport/food/beverages etc. The thinking behind my initial enquiry was on from 'googling' Bee Network I discovered that and I quote "From Tuesday 3 June to Sunday 10 August, track renewal works will take place between Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly. No tram services will operate via Piccadilly Gardens during this time"..........Piccadilly was my Plan A, and with this in mind its always good to consult a message board where people might have up to date alternative ideas/local knowledge .

I'm struggling to understand why Tarky has a problem with that.
