Scanner Help

I have an Epson printer/scanner which I've had for some time.

My problem occurred when I had to change my wifi router and it will no longer connect to the wifi. I just get a message telling me the ink cartridges cannot be recognised. I don't ever use it now as a printer so I'm not going to shell out for new ink cartridges I don't need and with no guarantee that they would work.

I do use my scanner, if for nothing else the programmes and tickets for the pages on UTC.

So, I suppose, can anyone recommend a scanner I could go for.

Scrap it and just use your phone CT. The iPhone will scan stuff using the Notes app

Good call above. I’ve never scanned on phone but take a photo, crop and straighten would work just as well.

Sometimes if you use non manufacturers product, it can reject. Without any technical knowledge, I have solved my own issues, in the past, by restarting, removing and replacing the cartridge. or reboot the router.

I suspect Ian is right and you need to reconnect the printer to the wifi. You need to pair them again. The printer instructions should tell you how and should be online if you Google.
If it’s old you can get printer canners copiers for not a lot because the money is made on cartridges.

One top ten best review sites https:www.bestproductsreviews.co.uk has the HPEnvy as 3rd best at £60 (the first two are over £300 and the rest over £120) on Amazon with 6 months free instant ink.
You can pay a monthly fee depending on how much you print. They send cartridges that last me 6- 9 months and arrive in good time.

Good luck

I’ve been told it can’t be done unless I get new ink cartridges which I’m not going to do given I don’t use it to print.
