Looks to be a potentially good signing. The neck tattoos though look hellish although I’m sure there’ll be someone on here who thinks it looks good. Wonder if the plan is to play Humphreys centrally or if Pires will stay and both fight for the LB place.

If we can keep him fit then this is a signing that should elevate our level. Excited to see him play. Our left side of Esteve - Hartman - Anthony/Koleosho looks good.

I’d imagine Bashir moves inside… apparently that’s his position so maybe we have Maxime and Bashir as the centre halves, and Hartman/Pires battle it out for the LB position. Who knows, other than Scott - and he’s more than earned the right to set up as he thinks best.

From what I've seen of him, I get a very Trippier vibe off him in terms of his work rate, snapping into tackles without going to ground, tidiness on the ball and also getting forwards.
Got the potential to be a huge player for us, can't wait to see him in action.

Would be even better if we could get Tresor linking with him but that may be a pipe dream of mine.
But back to the point, that has corrected one of the biggest mistakes of the Kompany promotion, not signing a left back, preferably a dutch one. Now I’d like the same on the other side. And a striker. And a centre mid. Etc etc.

I think left back was an obvious position that needed squad improvement. Pires did improve towards the end of last season and Humpheys was OK, but more competition will definitely help. Good luck to the lad.

I think the tats will add 1% or more to his tough look, once he's put a couple of crunching tackles in. If he can tackle hard and clean without racking up cards, that would massively improve our defensive strength.

With our two new signings and our four signed at the end of the season, the squad is already starting to look far more balanced than the squad VK had for our PL season.
Looks like SP knows what he’s doing and nice to see AP and the board backing him.

Really pleased with this one. Losing CJ was a blow but this strengthens us in a key area.
If we can get another few players of this calibre we will have really taken the team forward in my opinion.

Love the Feyenoord tribute. Looks like the sort of player that Burnley fans will love. Hard working, aggressive, fast and seems to have the knack of crossing the ball into dangerous areas.
Already done it at a high level so will definitely not be intimidated by the Premier League.

Both full back areas are the top priority for me in terms of strengthening as that is where the majority of opposition teams have there main threats.

Looks a very interesting signing and according to my missus who is chinese the characters on the side of his head mean”everlasting”. I’m not sure whether that describes his love of Burnley or the fact he has a good engine but it does rather make you reach for the Charles Buchan Burnley book and sigh!
