Went to Cavtat in Croatia a few years ago and the first person I saw on getting off the boat was a bloke wearing a Burnley shirt waiting to get on.

I was in the Dominican republic 2 weeks ago, there was a family of 16 over, not sure how many of them were clarets' but 2 of the lads had a Burnley shirt on for a few of the days.
One of the 16 was a wigan fan.

To quote " Yes Prime Minister " , when discussing the Prime Minister's plan to relocate Armed forces bases to the North of the UK ...
Sir Humphrey: " How would you like to be in charge of Defence procurement, Bernard ?
Bernard : " Gosh ! "
Sir Humphrey: " .... in Sunderland, Berwick or Lossiemouth ? "
Bernard: " Is that a place ? "
Sir Humphrey: " Lossiemouth ? What'd you think it was ?
Bernard: " A dog food "

Went up to Kinloss and Lossiemouth in 1990, they were still using an Avro Shackleton at Lossiemouth at the time!

Stewart Imlach, about whom his sports journalist son wrote the fantastic 'My father and other working class heroes' hailed from Lossiemouth. Just saying.
He played for Bury, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, Coventry City, Crystal Palace, etc., as well as Scotland in the 1950s and 1960s. He was subsequently a coach at Notts County, Everton, Blackpool and Bury.
The book is a fantastic read as it describes a time when footballer's were just normal folk.

Went on holiday to Stornaway Outer Hebrides five years ago and saw a young boy in a Burnley outfit, playing football. Didn’t know much about the tea though.

I was in a small seaside village near Barcelona a few weeks ago and there was a young, local Spanish boy wearing a Burnley shirt in a bar that we were in.
He told me that his dad was from Oldham and supported Burnley and that he was looking forward to visiting Turf Moor to see a Premier League game this coming season.

I bought a pair of cheap sunglasses from a stall in malaga in March and had a retro 1992 top on.
The owner of the stall knew all about burnley and said he had a couple of burnley shirts from about 5 years ago.
When I asked him who he supported, he told me he was from Argentina originally and supported wolves

I've been to New York twice. The first time, I met two Burnley supporting locals and it turned out his dad worked with my dad.
The second time, I bumped into a lass I went to uni with.
One of the biggest cities in the world, 2000 miles away!

In 1999 I was in Cancun Mexico when United were playing Bayern Munich I think ? in the European cup final, I duly trudged off to what could best be described as a betting hall to watch the match and I happened to have my yellow away shirt on which stood out like a sore thumb amongst the sea of red, as I made my way to the bar prior to KO from one of the cubicles which held about a dozen people came a shout of UTC and to my surprise amongst the sea of international reds were a group of clarets ( from Accy I think ) and me, no other club colours were visible anywhere. Always proud to display the Claret affiliation. UTC

Was in Orlando in 2019, and we got on the Disney bus at our hotel. As I climbed aboard, the first fella I saw at the front, sitting with his young son, and they were both adorned in Burnley shirts.”Up the Clarets”! I shouted, and got a dig in the ribs from my Mrs.

10 years ago, in Cuba on a tour to the jungle area, we climbed up into a viewing tower and got talking to a guy, (no footy shirts involved here) and he was from Padiham and worked at the butchers on the main road just higher up than the legion (top club).
What's the chances ?
BTW - he was not part of our holiday or party.
