You have to sign up to receive a daily email , it doesn't cost anything and a winning postcode is picked
every day , It said on the email that there were 3 winners from that road but at the time of the post
none had claimed their winnings ...
Just checked it again , it says 2 out of the 3 have claimed now ..

But to Worsthorners it's off Brownside and not actually in the village with it being past the sunshine houses...

As you omitted the word Borough, I beg to differ. There's a difference between Burnley and Burnley Borough. Padiham is not in Burnley, it is a market town incorporated into the Borough of Burnley in the 70's.

I’m aware of that but since the 1970s has been in Burnley, as has Worsthorne and as has where I live.

It's not just me who knows that Padiham is not in Burnley, it's only in the Borough of Burnley.
Burnley is a town and the administrative centre of the wider Borough of Burnley in Lancashire, with the towns of Padiham and Brierfield to the west and north respectively.

Then your previous statements are factually incorrect, equivalent to saying Burnley is in Blackburn as it's within the Blackburn postcode area BB.

Isn’t Worsthorne actually in the town of Burnley, whilst Padiham is only in the Borough of Burnley being a separate town itself?

I repeat, Worsthorne is in the Borough of Burnley, not in the town. Wait until we blow the three bridges then you'll see that we are a separate village.

As a Worsthorner at heart who still considers it "home" despite not having lived there for 20 years, I can assuredly avow that Heckenhurst Avenue is very definitely Worsthorne. I draw the dividing line at Brownside Bridge , it's Burnley (town) to me past there, even if technically the parish extends right up to and including one side of Brunshaw Rd down past the Tesco Express.
The "villagers" draw an even tighter boundary though...
I can recall Worsthorne boundary signs in at least 4 different locations on Brownside Rd during my lifetime.
It used to be called Burnley Road by the way. They changed its name i think in the 70s when the parish moved in to the expanded new Burnley borough.

‘Village’, ‘parish’… LOL. It’s the outskirts of Burnley.
Almost as bad as people from Whalley.

Post code for Worsthorne is even before the Thornton, on the Burnley side.
I would say over the bridge is Worsthorne really, sign is just before the school. Best area in Burnley... or is it in Burn...

If they keep allowing the building of houses in and around Worsthorne ( including right behind my house) the whole area will have to be deemed a mega city.
I suppose on the bright side the football club might attract an oil state takeover and we too can become a soulless sports washing exercise in the guise of a football team!

Where does Brownside come into this? Is it it's own separate place or is it a smaller division within Worsthorne, or even Burnley?
