I'm at the Lytham festival today so missing this one. Thought I'd get that in just in case we lose and I get accused of going quiet

Not at the moment, there's a problem with it and the scoreboard

Lowerhouse batting - were 40/0 off 6 but last update they are 47/4 from 10.4 but off for rain

Yep should have come off sooner when umpire wanted to buy players persuaded to stay off. Pro out next ball then off

I was talking to someone on Thursday who was going to see Stevie Wonder and I was able to recall it's over 50 years since I saw him.

He was just as good on Thursday as he was a young man. Got to say he’s not one of those old artists who have lost it like so many others. Incredible l. The band were also brilliant. Me of the best gigs I’ve ever been to.

It's D/L, you're not meant to get it, just accept it

You win some, you lose some with D/L
All Lowerhouse need to do is make sure we take wickets and keep Burnley below the par score

But it was a 34 over score, they will bat 34. Oh well. It'll not get that far anyway

If it all goes wonky, you’ll be able to blame messers D & L, along with the unfair advantage Burnley have from all that car park money…

That makes no sense at all. If Lowerhouse had known it was a 34 over game they would have tried to score faster from the start. Burnley should be chasing a larger target not smaller.

How have Burnley started their innings?

Burnley are 62 for 2 off 12 overs according to play cricket.

It does seem strange but it will take into account that Lowerhouse were 40/4 after 10 overs when it rained and Burnley were in the ascendency in the context of a 50 over match.

They came back on knowing they only had another 24 overs to bat and could perhaps play more positively and also it would be harder for Burnley to take the remaining 6 wickets in that time so the total score is adjusted to reflect that i.e. the rain break worked in their favour.

It’s a complex system and has its flaws but it’s certainly fairer than anything else that’s ever been in place.

And in trying to score faster would have taken more risks leading to early wickets.
