Hoping the England vs France game is better than the Wales one. England should have nothing to fear about getting out of this group.

Lauren James is some player. England need her to last the tournament to win this.

I don’t care how many times I’ve watched them and matches they’ve won but every time I see Mead, Hemp & Russo, all good individual players, they play like strangers.

Lauren James is their best player by a mile - surely worth trying her through the middle?

No, it is specifically for the women but there has been reports that the men will wear it for a one off game.

Definitely the toughest group. Netherlands and France both top teams and only top two going through.

Yeah, I can't say I watch too much but I thought England were better than this. I think Wales were absolutely abysmal but England under pressure now.

Interesting decision from England to try and play this match with no midfield.

Turned it over to the Real Madrid game, but I'd be wanting James on the ball at every opportunity.

Rhiannon " Razza " Roberts, tonight is her 80th Cap for Wales !

A right sided defender, she was out of contract after her 2 year deal with Real Betis expired this summer, but she's just signed a two year deal with Sunderland, a WPL2 Club. Certainly still has family members living in Burnley ..

An absolute shambles after the disallowed goal. Bullied all over the pitch, can't retain the ball for any length of time and zero intensity!

The second half if anything is even worse so far

There were fears England had regressed over the last few years and nothing in the opening 55 minutes has allayed those fears - miles off France technically so far.

If England have regressed it’s nothing short of criminal from the FA given the growth in girls football over the last decade. My club alone has 34 women and girls teams competing every week.

Think it's a case of a tournament too far for a few of them and probably the coach. Reading between the lines, it doesn't appear a happy/settled camp this time

She's been subbed off after being virtually anonymous in England's non-existant midfield. Undoubtedly a talent, but the definition of a luxury player. England carrying a few too many players who are past their best, not fully up to speed after injuries or simply not contributing enough.

Think the team have hit that point where it's all gone a bit stale. Suspect the next tournament will be a very different lineup

They never got the ball to her. Stick her central and make the game go through her and I think they'd have a better chance. Before she gets subbed of course :-)

Williamson has just basically thrown the entire midfield under a bus after her post match comments

Something isn't right in the camp imo and would perhaps explain the senior withdrawals last month

Rhiannon also helped out at Lancashire Schools' F.A for a couple of years.
Lancashire is the most successful county in England for schoolgirls' football.

Rhiannon started her career playing for me with Burnley FC Girls at the age of 11. We played out games on Worsthorne Primary School fields. At the time she was a super fast wide player !
She has worked hard in her career and an amazing achievement to reach the pinnacle by playing in a major championship for her country.

So how are positions decided in case of being level on points? Could potentially be 3 teams on 6 here.

Farcical again. You could clearly see in real time the trip was on the line. Why did it take nearly 3 minutes for var to make that decision.

I think the question was more whether it was a foul as it was very soft. You could tell they were going to award it though as reviewing for a penalty and then overturning the FK in a dangerous position wouldn’t have gone down well. All elementary probably as 2-0 now.

Seems head to head first but because each team would have one win and one loss it goes to goal difference but only between the three top teams.

So it doesn't matter how many we score tonight.

It is looking very bad for Wales as most of the goals they have conceded up to now have been second half when they tire.

France 1-1 Netherlands in the other game ... Apparently, all not well in the Dutch Camp with the Manager also set to go at the end of the Tournament, ie. in about an hour and 20 minutes !!

The Dutch have a long history of this sort of thing, going back to Cruyff retiring from International Football at the age of just 30 in late 1977, after ensuring they'd qualified for Argentina '78 !
