Who has ever taken a piece of the Turf following a pitch invasion?

Years ago they were relaying it and the machines came on straight after the final whistle to tear it up. I was walking down near the old players entrance and a piece hit me on the head. I found a nice patch in the garden for it :D .

I remember in the mid to late Nineties the pitch was relaid and they flogged off the old turf for a couple of quid a square.

I bought a piece and planted in in my front garden, but some of my R*vers supporting mates swiped it and I never saw it again.

But no, never after a pitch invasion.

Not the Turf, but years ago the nobbers installed a plastic pitch and sold off the old pitch in yard square blocks (from memory).

At the time I lived between Preston and Blackpool and thought "Why Not?" After all we're all football fans, and I took note of where I laid it on the lawn.

After few beers at the local and not wanting to disturb the household, I knew exactly where to take a leak.

I also planted a strip in my mum's garden - remember it being full of sand

Dug out a piece with my hands after we beat Scunthorpe to get promoted in 2000 (I was at the Turf watching on the big screen). I’d have been 13 - it’s in my Mum and Dads garden still!

I was once given seed by the groundsman for a new lawn at home. It never really looked that good but it did take a stud.

My recollection of the pitch after the Orient Game was just how little grass was actually on it when you saw it up close. Of all the amazing changes since then, the condition of the pitches now is right up there...
