Sounds like he's not au fait with the impending CFS changes yet...“I can’t wait to run out that tunnel again at Turf Moor in a few weeks and see all the fans again.” :D

Im not sure about this signing and puzzled as to where he fits in.
Do we think the gaffer has been involved or is this just another recruitment team signing
Time will tell but in the meantime welcome back JBL.

Can see him being deployed more in the number 10 role. Very tidy footballer. We only saw the half of him too. Recall VK saying he was one of the best prospects in European football before a bad Injury very young.

Welcome back UTC

Burnley FC ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with bringing back former players.

Never know a club or it's fans dripping in OBSESSION to bring back the guys.

It makes you wonder who is next, Winston White. Should we bring back Clark Carlisle or Paul Crichton lads next, am I right lol, lmfao. ROFL.

I personally don't understand the OBSESSION but welcome back.

I hope not. I don't really understand what's happening here tbh

You would anticipate that there is north of 5 attacking players we are looking to move on this window and if we do hopefully we might still get somewhere but things as they are surely no chance.

Bobb would be more of a 10 then wide player for me

I hope not regarding Bobb.
Whilst I really liked JBL during the season he was here and he looked one of the better ones in that seriously struggling side tbf, he's hardly pulled up any trees in the season since and I would have possibly preferred us to spend the money (and considerable wages) elsewhere, considering where we're already strong and still really need to strengthen, but we'll see.

More wingers is baffling i must admit. We must have bought 17 wingers in the last 3 seasons or something daft

Liked him when he was here first time around. He’s technically sound and scored some very good goals but also left the full backs exposed at times.

I liked him, and I think he’s a decent player that strengthens the squad, but that means we have a player we thought would start, not starting.
Not entirely convinced all the new incomings are Parker signings. We are starting to look quite unbalanced again. I thought that nonsense left with VK.
Or he’s a 10, which could Possibly mean Zian goes 9.
Who knows - certainly not me. But I do know I don’t want another window like the VK one…

Is it really though? I can only think of Edwards, Anthony, Koleosho, Tchaouna and JBL who are likely to be heavily involved in the wide forward areas - and I’d imagine 4 out of the 5 will feature in most games.

Just to see the options we have wide now I've listed them below, don't think I've missed any. I think there's slightly more versatility there than in Kompanys bunch. If we get the list down to 5 or 6 then they will probably all get minutes at different times.
I imagine Bensons going, Koleosho has to get first team football so presumably he goes out on loan. That leaves 4 genuine first teamers and a young prospect I'm Tchuana, that looks about right to me.
If Tresor goes as well then there might even be room for one more. In fact looking at it again, Tresor could.potentially be lined up as our end choice right winger. That's where Parker played him against Reading and we do look a bit short on that side compared to the left

Tchouna..Left or number 10
Tresor..Left, 10 or right
JBL..Left or right
Anthony..Left or right
Edwards..Right or 10
Koleosho..Left (he's crap on the right)
Benson..Right

We seem a little heavy on wingers. Edwards and Anthony don’t deserve to lose their shirt (Edwards you’d have a case as he dipped a little towards the end of the season) but keeping a happy squad is just as important as winning games. Having 2,4 or 5 wingers sulking not playing won’t do anything for harmony of the squad. We need to trim down drastically.

I agree we are heavy on wingers, but I could only name 5 who will realistically feature much, and I don’t think that’s excessive as we will likely use 4 wingers in most games. Obviously there are players who we need to move one, but that’s not a reason to not sign better players.

As for losing the shirt, who’s to say Edwards and Anthony won’t start the season? It’s a squad game and we need good competition for every position.

Great signing. Of the loan players in the VK mercenary year in the EPL, JBL was the best.
He has goals in his bag and is proven in the league we’re about to play in.
Welcome back, Jakob !

I’ve got a feeling SP isn’t like VK and will try and keep( for the majority )the core of the side together who got us up.

We know we need to add quality to the team to compete but I would be surprised to see so many changes come our first game than what we finished with the last game.

I agree, and to a large extent I hope he does. But like I said I think there are only 3 wingers who featured prominently last season so we have now supplemented them with Tchaouna and JBL which would seem a reasonable number. Obviously it leaves players who were already surplus to requirements in the same position and we need to move them on.

Yeah you’d ideally want 4 or 5 tops. And for the 2 or 3 not featuring to get some good minutes off the bench (again unlike VK)

Got to keep them all happy. It’s a tough thing to do.

So does everyone agree, this signing is going to keep us in the Premier league, and we can see him tearing down the wing, destroying defences, or is it a bit of a poor underwhelming signing, that has us poor fans thinking why?

Strange one. Chipped in with a few goals for us but thought a lot of his general play was frustrating. He’s had a strange career and at 26 has never really cracked it in the Bundesliga.

Excellent signing. We know what he offers at this level, he's young enough to keep improving, and has some genuine quality and end product. Who cares whether he's a Parker signing or a recruitment team signing.

I expect JBL and Anthony are likely to become our first choice wingers, assuming they stay fit, giving us some excellent options on the bench.
