Trafford
Sambo
Dodgson
Massengo - we know he’s going
Churlinov
Benson
Obafemi
Amdouni - obvious due to injury

I think this is the first properly professional interviewer the clubs had since I started watching in 2003. Only taken them 22 years to find someone good.

Probably the most boring voice I've ever heard.

Yes, I hope it's the start and not just a 'one-off'. Some might find the voice boring but as someone with hearing difficulties I understood every word, and that matters.

Have to say, it makes such a difference, doesn’t it?
Well done to the media guys who do a fantastic job but I do think it makes a big difference having a professional interviewer.
I’d love to have Phil Bird doing more of the interviewing. I don’t know why we don’t use him more?

Very professional, but does it lose a bit of Burnley when you have a standard TV accent?

Personally I think every step we take towards being a ‘cookie cutter’ club moves us away from being Burnley. I like the interviewers we have with local accents.

This is a fair point and exactly why I’d use Phil Bird, the voice of Burnley, for interviews.
Not to say the guys we use do a bad job at all and everyone needs a chance to develop, but I think the questions the more experienced interviewers ask lead to a better interview. Overall you’ve got to try and balance home grown talent with professionalism.

Regarding not seeing Trafford, are any of the keepers there at the moment?
Maybe they are training somewhere different initially?

I dont think its the accent that is the problem, I think its more the type of questions which are asked and also how they are asked.
This current guy seems to be much more professional in that respect.

Didn't Phil Bird drop himself in it with a question he asked soon after been given the role. He was doing a lot of interviews at one time and then seemed to be quickly removed after a bit of controversy.

No idea. Would be a bit daft if one stupid question kept our most polished media presenter away doing interviews.

I can't remember, he definitely worded a question really clumsily. It got a bit of a reaction on here I think at the time.

Phil used to do a lot of post-match interviews but given he no longer goes to away games that would be difficult.

Right at the start of the video I posted you can see the goalkeepers in the background. It looks like Trafford is there but has his back to the camera so can't be 100%.

He no longer goes to away games? He was doing commentary for all the away games last season, is he doing it from a studio? Or is this from this coming season?

The Fleming goal at Watford that the live tv feed managed to miss made it very clear he wasn’t there, he was as confused as everyone else watching on tv.

Ekdal involved too I saw before Parker wanted to take a look at him pre season, by the looks of who isn't there whilst seeking moves it looks like Ekdal is being given a chance

Certainly hasn't for the last two seasons, he's been covering the games from a studio. I first noticed it when we played at Luton in the PL. Sky were so busy showing Luton's equaliser that they virtually missed JBL's winner and Phil didn't see it because he was watching the footage. Same happened last season at Watford with Flemming's equaliser.

Don't know, just pleased to see him involved because I think he's done well at U21 level. He spent end of last season on loan at Warrington Rylands so has a long way to go.

That makes total sense now as to why for large parts of last season the audio wasn’t in sync with what we were watching live, whoever made tue decision to not have him there live has made a terrible decision

Hard to say given we haven't seen a full pic but there are a few fringe players from the first team squad who don't appear to be there and James Trafford hasn't been spotted on any pics.
